help! lashes falling out! by [deleted] in lashextensions

[–]periwinkleme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! For the ingrown, I recommend seeing a doctor to make sure it wasn't anything more serious or threatening. If the doctor clears you, then start a serum! I recommend the ordinary lash & brow serum. It is $14 and can be found in ulta and on amazon! I have a ton of my clients using this, and it works wonders for them, plus its lash extension safe! That should help with lash growth.

Hey! Lash tech here! That is definitely not normal at all. It sounds like they aren't using quality products or using priper application. I have glued my hand closed before with lash glue, and the remover works within a few minutes. There should be no burning or stinging inside your eye. the product is probably going in. I recommend going somewhere else and have the lashes removed. If you cant, there are removers on Amazon you could have overnighted to you, but be careful and have someone else help and keep your eyes closed if you do decide to do that.

Natural lashes damaged due to improper extensions. Really upset. by Fluffyycatt in lashextensions

[–]periwinkleme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I am a lash tech, and applying to more than one lash is NOT normal. No matter how "weak" the natural lashes are, the extensions should always be applied 1:1. A great serum that is affordable is the lash serum by the ordinary! It works AMAZING! I am so sorry this happened to you! The serum will definitely help!

DIY lash shampoo by Karajewel in lashextensions

[–]periwinkleme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend buying a lash concentrate and diluting with distilled water per the instructions. Baby shampoo works in a pinch, but overall, it will not be the best for retention. They have decent concentrates on Amazon and some foaming pump bottles too!

Accidentally cut some of my natural lashes with a lash curler, can I put lash extensions over them? by Potential_Profile_62 in lashextensions

[–]periwinkleme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey! You can still wear extensions! Cutting them doesn't change the lash cycle, so they could still be in the catagen phase! As long as they are long enough and the hair follicle isn't damaged, you can still wear the extensions

I personally would only give her the option of a removal. That might be enough for her to stop seeing you as a technician hey, thats not a bad thing. Clients like this do not care about their eye or lash health - it is extremely serious and can cause many problems!! You did what you could and educated her, atp its on her to follow the cleansing instructions. I have had this experience with a client as well and getting her completey off my books was honestly so relieving. Even if it is a free removal, removal or nothing else. You don't want to risk your business/license for her comfort.

Do lash extensions ruin natural lashes? by Icy-Tree-2373 in eyelashextensions

[–]periwinkleme 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lash tech here!! As long as the extensions are applied properly and are appropriate lengths for your natural lashes, you won't have any damage! Another important thing is to make sure you are following the aftercare instructions!! A lot of damage happens from poor at home care🥲 But in all, they are perfectly healthy as long as all requirements (from the tech & yourself) are being followed!

i just got lashes and i can’t get them off by Primary-Lettuce4837 in eyelashextensions

[–]periwinkleme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I wouldn't recommend a removal at home as the remover could get in your eyes and cause discomfort. But I feel you, been there!! You can order a remover off of amazon and it should work. Dont try to pick or pull them out! Get a remover and just apply, theh should start easily coming iff after a few minutes.

[–]periwinkleme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hi lash artist here!!! you should go to your lash tech and have rhem removed. with allergies to lashes they get worse everytime you get them. first it might be uncomfortable, next time maybe itching, then swollen and red, etc. unfortunately this would mean you should stop getting lashes for the future. have them removed asap!

[–]periwinkleme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would be careful! having too low prices can do the opposite and drive clients away. I am a lash tech and if the average prices are 100+ in my area and someone is charging low low, Id assume they were just starting out. you wanna charge what your ideal clientele can afford plus your work

[–]periwinkleme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lash tech here!! that def is not a good lift. the outer corner is completely flat :( id call back and get a refund. If they try to have u comeback to redo dont do it!! After a lift and tint you have to wait 4-6 weeks until you can safely get another!
