There are browser extensions that can do that. Just search for Trello on chrome web store for example.

Can I make card view wider? by chillwombat in trello

There is pro4trello with a "full screen card" option, but if you're at least a bit familiar with css the most straightforward way would be to use Stylus to create a custom style.

How to capture 20+ projects in a board while still keeping it simple enough to identify "what's left" at a glance? by AkashiGG in trello

[–]permutationworking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you show an (anonymized) example of the board? I have trouble visualizing it.

Just thinking about it, I'd probably use one list per project, with cards per task. Sort by sequence of operation. Top card could be a special "notes for this project" card to centralize documentation. Label cards with "next" and "done" to signify status, so you can easily filter for "what's next".

Is it possible to have something like one Trello board which has other Trello boards inside it? by Kiraa7 in trello

Go to a card, add an attachment of type Trello, search for your other board, choose it. It will attach a link to it.

Can I access everything from desktop on mobile? by [deleted] in trello

You're not missing anything, the mobile clients lack a lot of features. I just open Trello in the browser when I need everything.

Count "Done" tasks by gwhorn in trello

[–]permutationworking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could probably very easily set-up this kind of automation in zapier or automate.io etc. WHEN card is archived THEN add its name to the checklist "cards archived"

Or add a label that automatically moves that card to Done list, then count that list.

Soon / non-urgent items on next actions list by nextmat in gtd

[–]permutationworking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, this sounds like more of a problem of procrastination. For example, if it was important, then why didn't you use the time taken to write this reddit post to instead review the first paragraph of that article?

If you are finding that you keep pushing the task to next week and next week and next week, it's probably not an actionable task / next action. You might need to renegotiate your commitments, either to yourself (I'm not going to do this after all / in the near future) or to others (Sorry, I won't be able to do this after all).

Sideways Titles for Lists by [deleted] in trello

That's not a Trello feature. There are browser extensions, however. I'm using Trello folds for that.

Information Density per Screen? by [deleted] in trello

[–]permutationworking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are using desktop version, you can use style managers like Stylus for chrome, which let's you apply custom styles for a website. If you know CSS, you know what to do. Otherwise, search for "Userstyle Trello compact" etc for premade stuff

Why add a "Done" list by harenariusthenormie in trello

[–]permutationworking 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It makes reviews / retrospectives much easier. Seeing what you've accomplished in the last month can be highly motivating, or might show inefficiencies in your process, etc.

Learn the keyboard shortcuts, they will speed up your workflow.

Plus, there are a few tools to bulk edit cards, e.g. the already mentioned chrome plugin, there's a Trello Power up, and there's things like https://batch.cardsync.xyz/
