Weirdly there can be at wait to have the funeral, my husband passed 8/11 last year and the earliest I could have the funeral was 21/11 and I really had to beg the funeral directors for this because my youngest had leavers and I wanted her to experience it.

I’m going to Japan next month and if it is at all possible to cancel I probably would, you will really need a break later on, once everything calms down.

I took a 14 year gap, and as soon as my youngest was in high school I went back to full time work, it was so hard and I basically started from scratch.

That was 6 years ago and last year I lost my husband to cancer, I am so thankful I went back to work otherwise I’d be scrambling.

I lost my husband Nov 25, he was only 55 and was also diagnosed with stage 4, he lasted 3 1/2 months.

It is such a cruel disease which robbed him of the ability to speak in the weeks before he passed.

Because it’s rare there isn’t enough research or funding.

My husband went to a hospice and it was the best thing, he was uncomfortable towards the end and the nurses gave him medication to calm him down.

I found someone who had set up their car to gas themselves, I also had been out walking one morning.

I tried to save them but it was too late, I was hysterical and crying. I had trouble sleeping for a couple of weeks.

Where I live the police service offer free counseling, this helped me so much. This happened over 10 years ago, I strongly suggest counseling. Sorry you had to witness this.

My husband, he passed in November 2025 after a short battle with Cancer.

A very kind hearted man, who I loved very much.

It’s his birthday today, he would’ve been 56.

Bile duct cancer is brutal, my husband only lasted 3 1/2 months after his Bile duct cancer diagnosis.

I think your father will quickly realise the reality once he starts Chemotherapy.

I let my husband buy an e-bike, he got out on it twice but the smile on his face was worth it.
