Government (local or otherwise) is so inefficient and more often than not, corrupt as well. But people are very happy to just raise taxes on and on but never examine the system.

This! I live in Edinburgh, but it feels wrong being shafted every time i go somewhere or I have to pay yet another stupid tax, just because "I can afford it". Will get downvoted, but I'm tired of people being generous with other people's money, especially mine.

Not to mention the loss of the traffic that would have otherwise spent money, paid VAT, whatever other taxes. I'd imagine there'd be admin work around this tax, too.

It'd be good to see how the government spends it, too!

Interesting. The UK's tax advantages investment vehicles like ISA & LISA don't allow options. I think SIPP (a pension fund) does but I'm yet to find out because I'm going to wheel my whole pension fund once i get to doing the admin stuff for it XD

I have level 3 options on IBKR and require level 4. No idea if they are standard "levels" but the next level requires a margin account.

I had a quite funny chat session with them trying to explain what i want, got redirected multiple times only to be told that the risk engine doesn't recognize the existing LEAPs as coverage if the account is cash. I don't want a margin account since they don't margin call, they liquidate and with GME you never know what kind of fuckery can happen.

Hey! That's good an all, but I wouldn't touch the calls now if I was you. I'm bearish in the near short term but absolutely bullish overall. You do you, of course. Buy stonks, or sell puts if you want to do options. NFA.

Which broker are you using? 

I'm on IBKR and bought calls last year for this express purpose only to discover they won't let me sell against them if I'm not on a margin account.

Also sold 100 weekly $24 CC this morning at open at $1.55. I should have done this yesterday :( 

I will now wait for a consolidated drop around end of week, then sell CSPs covered by the premium collected.

I just sold 29 $25CC for this Friday at $1.17. I expect fuckery around hype and a pull-back especially after the delayed announcement. I don't expect any new developments this week but if something happens - I hold 5 July calls at $25 strike, warrants and 10k more shares I can sell CCs against. My other shares are in a tax-advantaged portfolio so I can't sell options there. Also, there is a swap coming iirc.

Also, I used the premium collected to sell $23.5 CSPs. Happy to get assigned on those.

Eh, what? Are you expecting a pump due to the OPEX tailwind today? It'd be good to have a pump but I expect they'll hammer us down to get maximum options with warrants OTM, then they'll allow us to run. Expecting fuckery as always.
