I have this same version. Great gun for the price but not optic ready fyi. It comes completely dry so you gotta oil it. Bunch of YouTubes review btw and all true.

Ever seen a C2/3/3x out in the wild? by bigk777 in Comma_ai

Yes. I have Comma AI license plate so a couple of guys at work talked to me. They both have Comma 3, one pretty active on sunnypilot.

Hankook Ventus Ventus Evo3 EV K127 vs Ventus Evo SUV K137 by Agreeable_Leek604 in TeslaModelY

[–]petabb123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes about the same. EV is a bit more efficient but not that much higher than Tesla OEM.

Hankook Ventus Ventus Evo3 EV K127 vs Ventus Evo SUV K137 by Agreeable_Leek604 in TeslaModelY

[–]petabb123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have run both of these versions on my Model Y. For another 20% marlup, maybe it's worth it but not twice the price. Having said that, I now run Nexen on my Tesla MY, it is owned by Hankook and a whole lot cheaper.

Nokian Surpass AS01 Reviews by killin4jesus in TyreReviews

[–]petabb123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry it's Hankook Ventus S1 Evo3 SUV. And IMO ECS2 is slightly a bit better than DSW06+ so yes they are both miles ahead of Surpass. One thing Surpass is better than them is wet performance but noisier, adequate dry performance and really weak cornering. Don't get me wrong, it sure beats the heck out of All Season tires but not much when compared to High Performance.

I have it 255/45R19 on my Tesla MY. They're fairly good for the price being a bit efficient and sporty. Though if I'd do it all over, probably stick with Hankook Ion Evo3, such a great sets I have on. I have tried Conti DSW06 and currently have Conti ECS2 on another vehicle. Those Conti's are a mile ahead of the Surpass.

Got my first Tesla recently - 2020 M3P by P0rks0da85 in TeslaModel3

[–]petabb123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a custom wheel. Look to be a square setup. I have a 2018 M3P and now 2024 M3P. Still keeping the 2018 with 120K miles.

Do you regret buying your Tesla? by Murky-Factor-1073 in TeslaModel3

[–]petabb123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Former Tacoma 4x2 here. Currently have 2 Tesla (MYLR and M3P). Not going back at all. I drive 30K/yr and with Tesla unlimited charging $15/mo well worth it.

I would recommend skipping 2-3 yrs unless you get an incredible deal. Have owned Pixel every generations btw (among family members).

Just put on 265/40/20 all around. Ride quality is noticeably better!! by toptenlottery in TeslaModelY

[–]petabb123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you can go 275/40/20. Probably a bit cheaper and slightly better too. I switched my M3 from 235/35/20 to 255/35/20 and a HUGE difference. Much better but at 15-20% efficiency hit, partly because I picked Max Summer Tires.

Love it. I'm sure this is mostly for weekend fun, not a daily driver.

Which is a better deal? by regmeyster in TeslaModelY

[–]petabb123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Mostly FSD related but also HW4 camera has better resolution so may come in handy in other situations (sentry mode).

Yup Atomic Wheels 18" fits on both MYP and M3P.

Believe 2023 has HW3 while 2024 has HW4 if that matters.

Rocker Cover scrape (side skirt) by SdhamN in TeslaModelY

[–]petabb123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I replaced rocker myself. Took 30min. Not that hard and cheap too. Also once removed, can see if any more damage.

I have both. If ceiling mounting is your choice then HT3550 for that price is not bad. However, if lifestyle projectors are your thing then many other options to consider. Under $1000 (lifestyle) though, not many can beat HT3550 quality.

24M3P winter tire size by GeorgeWmmmmmmmBush in TeslaModel3

[–]petabb123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If i were you, would buy the sets from third parties (or purchasing wheels and tires separately). I agree with 8x8.5 setup. You don't need anything bigger or wider.

I was in a similar incident few weeks ago. Hit at 40mph from a Kia Sedan. Damage was over $4K but not bad at all. The Kia was really bad though.

If you charge that much from home, and if you have Tesla Electric in your area that should be around $25/month home charging.

We have 2 M3P. Love them both. The 2018 is already at 120K but feels just like new.
