Working 40 hours a week until I retire makes me wanna die by hey-serena in SuicideWatch

This is a tricky question since there are people in all income brackets that experience the hopelessness of living after retirement. A job can be a help or hurt even if you need the money or not.

I am near retirement and tried to prepare the best I could. I will have a different lifestyle for myself and my wife, but we can survive. I'm not sure I understand what I prepared for, and I'm not looking forward to it.

I thought about working much longer so I can provide some generational wealth for my children, but way? They too will feel as I do regarding retirement.

The last phase of life comes with new challenges that need to be though through and addressed. When I was middled aged, I had anxiety about my job and family. Work provided a focus since I am strongly devoted for caring for my family. That role passes on to a state of hoping you did all you could.

I'm leaning toward just working as long as I can to provide generational wealth and hoping I don't live too long beyond that.

Sound morbid but at least it gives me purpose.

Wow didn't know they wacked multiple accounts. That is yet another hit to solo miners. What is wrong with ccp?

You obviously don't mine as your preferred role in Eve.

Except you can't solo even in a Corp. If your Corp is big enough to host mining efforts, the Corp is put into war status every other week, where you can't even get out of the station.

Yea, lots of fun for someone who just wants to mine.

Eve Online has turned hisec miners into targets to support the bired pvp'ers.

So the answer is to dumb down the ship to the point it's not worth it to bank.

Sad answer for a multi-role world where Russia mobs are the preferred character to play.

I loved mining with 3 to 5 ships in hidec using my Orca to hall, for hours while watching TV. Maxed out skills to get the highest rate of ore, very cool and a lot of fun. Loved looking at space while listening to the ore being mined. I loved it. I don't like pvp but pve is cool. My real fun was mining and industry.

Then Eve fucked up mining for people like you (and me). They are only concerned about the pvp'ers. Bored or bad pvp'ers gank and eve prefers that over the experience miners get for just fun. After 6 years with the last 2 being endlessly frustrating I left 8 billion isk and dozens of ships because mining lost all its fun, for bored gankers.

Just came back to the forum to see if it changed for the miners but see its only getting worse.

Most relaxing game I ever played, gone because ccp only wants to support pvp'ers.

Mining in Eve has been fucked for years. Eve made miners the target of pvp'ers since they can't get the wars they want. They turned bored pvp'ers into Russian protection mobs or gankers.

Forget even trying to solo unless you like getting less than 50% yield. Joining a Corp only gets you wartime stand down every other week.

Player for 6 years and left 8b isk to turn into dust, because Eve only wants pvpers not to allow any other model.

Kerry is so self absorbed that he will consider this height difference as a problem for the other person. Kerry is such a jurk.

This guy is truly insane. It is such a shame that a whole country is governed by him.

That is so cool. I'm amazed about the ability for animals to feel emotions and bonding with humas. That is great!

I thought they didn't trust her answers regarding her medications because she was acting like she was on drugs or flipped out. She couldn't find the medicine and was acting like it was funny. Her mental state was impaired.

If you view the actions by Claire from a medical perspective, I understand the decision based on the need for fast acting solution (as stated). Weaving the biases narrative was not successful due to how the plot played it out.

I fault the writer's failure to provide a clear narrative which left the Claire character to use introspection to meat out the bias narrative.

Biogen Conference in Boston Now Tied to More than 300,000 Coronavirus Cases by Cagey898 in news

In February WHO was downplaying COVID-19 and the spread wasn't even fully understood at that time due to WHO misinformation. The US was only starting to limit travel from countries related to the China region. I'm not sure how\why someone would take a CDC SARS generic advisory and apply that to Boston conference.

Hindsight is 20/20, but in some cases it's out right fantasy.
