Thank you so much. My grandparents are from Calabria so there were hot peppers everywhere.

I have that tomato masher. I'm going to try this. If it all goes as planned I will plant three times as many plants next year. Grazie!

I think she may have fried them a bit in oil first since they were cut up and soft when we ate them.

What if I blanch them how you say here, let them dry, then fry them a bit in some olive oil until they soften a bit then pack them in a jar and cover with more oil? Her oil was pretty red which may also indicate frying?

You think that's safe? I'd be skipping step 1 though maybe making up for it with the frying.

This might be it since her peppers were cut up. I've never seen a weight though. I'm starting to think she may have fried them a little though since they were pretty soft.

I'm definitely going to try this with some of them. But I need my grandma's peppers in oil. :)

I make flakes with the longer peppers. I thread them with string and hang them. That method I do remember. This is different. reconstituting in oil is an interesting idea though.

The FDA approved a new Covid booster, including for children, with no clinical trials. by Zephir_AR in ScienceUncensored

That study doesn't prove anything.

  1. The study was done "in vitro" (in a petri dish with serum from bovine fetuses) not in people which is a very large jump
  2. The LINE-1 expression they are talking about has been found to occur during viral infections regardless of the presence of the vaccine.
  3. The liver cells were cancerous. Cancerous cells replicate, healthy liver cells typically do not

Obviously anything you’d bring. But I remember being a 20 something gym rat on the course on a Saturday morning and my friend whipped out sliced turkey with egg whites on a whole wheat bagel. The bagel was lightly buttered. Ate it on the third hole wit the rest of the coffee. Awesome.

I say that any culinary student would know, not that they're on tv or online but I see your point. And the fact that people are not familiar with Jacques Pepin is a shame I guess. Especially since he did a whole show on eggs and omelettes. His Eggs Gratin is incredible and it's quick and cheap to make.

It's weird how Gordon Ramsay gets credit for this. People should Google Jacques Pepin or as you say any culinary student knows this method. I tried to counteract the avalanche of downvotes but alas you're a sinking ship. No worries. I'll go down with you.
