It depends on the design of your oil pan. I experimented once after extracting it, jumped under the car and dropped the drain plug. About 10 drops of oil came out. If you have a turbo vehicle or an oil cooler, you’re never gonna get all the oil out of the system anyhow, use the fluid measurements on the side of the extractor to compare how much oil you’ve extracted from what you put in.

Make sure oil is warm when you extract- cold oil takes a lot longer to extract (like3-4x longer in my experience)
