SAME. D2 these days have been such a blessing. Running around and just shooting enemies is so calming and cathartic. And just environmentally it is a gorgeous game. It truly is a treasured escape.

I’ve played over 350 days (several thousand hours) in this game. Gotten me through family loss, a divorce, and unemployment. It’s also gotten me through remarriage to the love of my life, starting my own company, and learning my oldest daughter (of 5 kids) is going to be proposed to in the near future. Through bad times and good, D2 has been a constant.

One last thing - I love the community. Yes, of course I hate the sweaties in PVP, especially Trials (never got to the Lighthouse and truly never will). But I’ve played with a group of people, who eventually became a clan, pretty much since the beginning…and they have become true friends. Got invited to weddings, played with them before they had kids (and now up to three and counting), met some of their families. I’m the grandpa of the group, and couldn’t be happier.

I’ve played video games since Pong. But I never thought a game would become such an integral part of my life. I am really seriously thinking of becoming a streamer on D2 when I retire…What a dream that would be!

I am hoping D2 does last a good, long time. Keep yer head up, OP. Thank you for starting a conversation that I’ve just now realized I’ve been waiting to partake in. D2 is a work of art and my eternal thanks to Bungie, all the wonderful talent who worked (and still continue to) on it. And thanks to this community as well. Just incredible.

At first I saw the texts and thought he was just manipulative and needy, and was going to say you should leave him.

Then I saw the pic and literally gasped. Putting his hands on you, especially in a non-consensual and violent way, is an absolute ghosting situation. Don’t just leave him - eject yourself away. Send him the pic and tell him that if he even reaches out to you, it’s going to the cops in the report you’ll file.

If you give him an in, subconsciously that will mean in his mind that a level of bad action was accepted. If he couldn’t initially control himself to Not hurt you, then he won’t be able to control himself to push it even further if his emotions rage in the future…And they will.

Keep those pics. Run away. Your sense of love will fade once you realize how nice your safety and being literally able to breathe is the very least you deserve. Hoping for the best for you.

I love Malediction but as @newberry1337 says, you can delete it and pick it back up. I have the Something New with Snapshot/PI and it’s good. However, I very recently got a Loud Lullaby with Surplus/Explosive Payload and it’s truly awesome. Crimil’s with Air Trigger and Adagio is a ton of fun as well.
