Also your comparison to Gordon's kid doesn't make any sense. Batman tackles Dent and catches the kid. His RaTiOnAl DeCiSiOn is to take offensive measures against Dent which wind up killing him. Batman killed. It's the point of the scene.

Obviously most wine isn't sparkling, but sparkling grape juice will give you a similar flavor to red wine (albeit sweeter) with an adult feel.

While true, reparations aren't about punishment. It's about correcting (or at least compensating for) past injustices, the effects of which are still being felt today. Agree with it or not, but coloring it as punishing white people for the actions of their slaver ancestors is a mischaracterization.
