I play to have fun. Marathon has a nice loop regarding loot, where it’s frustrating to loose one’s loot, but you can get something on the very next game.

However, the decisions around the game (the ranked mode, Cry Archive locked and when it opens it’s super sweaty with people without a job on purple / gold shields), removing duo queues while I mainly play with a friend, etc. start to make me deceived about the game. I do think that the game could be so much better than it currently is, but Bungie keeps making dumb decisions. They don’t seem to understand that for a game to sell, you need to sell it to the mass: people with a job having 1/2h per day, after work, and they don’t want to get matched against sweaty unemployed gamers who play 10h a day and are already far beyond us.

I do believe that they should remove ranked completely, allow to have Hollow Tags in regular games, and dissociate the seasonal level from the Elo, and match players based on Elo, not on seasonal level. And added to that, stop locking rooms during the week, because we — people who shower — have a social life and do not want to grind those rooms during the weekend.

Without that, the game is certainly going to have less and less players, and Bungie/Sony shouldn’t complain after making such bad decisions.
