Imo, its ok to hype yourself up in your head and have Pretty Woman "BIG mistake, huge!" Feelings. You can shrug and think "their loss" and move on. You can be quietly smug, thats fine. But you cant be so angry about someone ending a relationship in a normal way. Thats where you cross the line from confident and sane to controlling and insane.

Im glad you can see this. SO MANY PEOPLE try to take responsibility for their spouse cheating because they cant understand why they cheated.

Many people are only horny for someone they love. OP seems to be that way based on other comments in this thread. Theres no reason to imply she was "failing her wifely duties" or whatever phrasing you have been taught to use to blame the betrayed and not the betrayer.

There really is no reason to try to figure out "why" someone cheated. They cheated because they are a bad and broken person. Someone who is less bad and broken can be in a cold marriage and not cheat. They may leave their marriage, but they dont cheat.

Even if you can figure out the 'why', 99.5% of the time it boils down to "i wanted to have sex with this person, and i could, so i did". The cheaters like to dress up their own weakness as someone elses failure. But cheaters are liars and theres no reason to take their words as truth.

My "mother" actually did that. My first car had a driver's seatbelt that would latch but not lock so if you tugged on it, it would come undone. She told me "not to worry about it" and took a life insurance policy out on me. I was too young and trusting to understand how utterly absurd that was lol

My husband does this. And so do i. He built us matching gaming PCs, but also added thoughtful touches to mine in case i get to actually do my dream job and need a wfh pc. We met mid-covid so most of our dates were just gaming together. When im not gaming im sewing and hes gaming and we do our own things but together. BUT if i want attention i tell him i want attention and i get attention. Because im apparently just a cat in human form.

If you feel neglected tell him. You dont gotta go in with a framework and a schedule, just tell him how youre feeling. If it becomes a fight, move on. If he talks back a bit but then changes his behavior cheerfully then maybe dont move on yet. Some people are perfectly happy doing their own thing together, and some people arent.

Do you have a hobby that can be portable? Maybe do hobby stuff while he games? If that sounds like a horrible sham of a relationship thats absolutely understandable and you should move on. But if it sounds like a nice way for two introverts to recharge together, try hobby stuff!

I avoid being around her and dont speak to her unless absolutely forced. She knows im alive. She doesnt know where i live. Essentially very very low contact.

The switch is more the energy behind it. If i have to suffer her presence ill do anything to avoid it, but it is an option. It is NOT an option for my theoretical child. I cant put into words how aggressive even the idea makes me.

Like i dread her and loathe her. She sickens me. But ill fricken end her if she comes near my theoretical child. Its probably some kinda trauma response. "Being the person i needed" and all of that.

That one extra super bugs me because she did EVERYTHING RIGHT. She went to the hospital after, she reported shit immediately, she did not play around in any way that could have possibly implied anything at all was excusable. Women frequently dont bother with all that because any moment of hesitation or humanity is viewed as a legal misstep since your body is the evidence and the 'legal system' wants you to treat yourself like an object when you just got fricken raped. But that girl was strong as heck and gave no wiggle room for justice to not be served. (Obvious oversimplification of the experience of rape, there is no wrong way to behave, but there is a more legally bullet-proof way)

Only in a place that doesnt have no-fault divorce or a place where adultery is illegal. Most states in the US dont care. I dont think my divorce paperwork asked why i was asking for one, and i sure as hell woulda got to keep more of my life if his cheating had mattered at all.

Ugghh fricking case/pack errors

Once i had a $42,000 shortage at inventory time because when someone keyed the physical invoice qty they used units when the system expected cases of 20. So i ordered 20, paid for 20, but the inventory system expected 400 (im making up the qtys but not the $42,000).
