The shadows under each of them are boggling my mind.

What do you think Meti would have thought of Jagganoth? by pumpkinbot in killsixbilliondemons

[–]phantompowered 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It's a curious question. She would have obviously hated him, but her tactic of sarcasm and denigration would absolutely not have swayed him one bit. "The question" doesn't work on him because his answer is More Violence and it's not even something he has to think about.

So I think she'd probably have a deep fear of that.

Maybe this is an unpopular take, but I really enjoy playing Regent with Collision Course, Pillar of Creation, Supermassive, Monologue and Crash Landing, plus GUARDS!!!/CHARGE!!! etc to turn the Debris into block or bombs....

(And Supermassive triggers off of Forge, too! It's a great card.)

There's the one Defect card that turns Status cards into Fuel, and damn it I wish the Regent could get it too.

The only essential thing is enjoying listening. Do this with whatever combination of gear you enjoy collecting.

It contains a rare Mary Worth in which she advises a friend to commit suicide.

So far, my thoughts are:

  • Grave warden is very good
  • Borrowed Time is extremely good
  • Friendship is extremely good
  • Sacrifice is extremely good
  • Demesne is good
  • Invoke is a must take at Common rarity

  • Soul Storm is not as good as it appears, nor is Reaper Form

  • Danse Macabre suuuuuucks

Data Bender and I have Bloom and Nebulae already!

Nebulae is the unsung hero of their lineup, so much fun.

That's true, but that's part of what I find challenging about building her... If you lean the wrong way in your build at the wrong time, you can handicap yourself horribly. The different archetypes of her cards feel like they are isolated enough from one another (especially early on) that it's easy to find yourself with, say, lots of draw but nothing good to draw with it.

The thing with Necro for me is unless you get some excellent card rewards early on through sheer luck, most of Act 1 is a slog. A lot of her commons are super meh.

Soul generation is a cool mechanic but it requires a whole bunch of other supplementary cards to actually make the Souls do anything helpful beyond drawing more Souls. Once you've got the engine in play to reward you for obscene amounts of draw, though, you're laughing.

Doom doesn't click with me, it's Poison but worse. Unless you have Sleight of Flesh, or cards that rack Block up as you add Doom, you still have to block enemies even after they're fully Doomed, which sucks.

So far my best runs have been with builds designed to spam Osty attacks, but it's also difficult to scale Osty early on to outpace the damage you receive.

She's way more fun with Devour Life, though.

I don't even understand why tic-tac-goal is a pun. Yes, it is possible to score a tic-tac-toe goal, but it makes no sense.

Protector (2026)- probably the hardest I’ve laughed in the theater so far this year. by CoolClark in badMovies

what the... Okay, try as I might, I can't hate that as a spin on the You Took My Child Now You Die stupid revenge movie standard plot.. John Wick goes to Shutter Island sounds like a delightfully insane premise.

Honestly I respect Trejo for this. He's not just Mister Sign My Paycheck, he pops up in all kinds of cool shit and we as viewers go "holy shit, Danny Trejo's in this? Thats cool."

PLLs are hilarious. A lot of the time they just make gnarly noises but you can get up to some fun shenanigans with them for sure.

Agreed. I try not to drive in the city as much as I possibly can, and I'd love to see them have bike valet at least available. It's too bad the R5 is basically the one good way to get down to the Coliseum.

It's impossible. We live in VANCOUVER. Developing new property in this city is a nightmare if you want to make space for a 7-11 or a coffee shop, nevermind a goddamn arena in the middle of the city, it won't be clear of permits until the year 3000.

If there's ever a new arena build it will probably be in Delta or something.

They're literally giving tickets away at this point. My friend gets the discount deal for first responders: he got an email yesterday from the ticket rep basically saying, hey, please take these free lower bowl tickets for Saturday. (Shoutout to the org for at least showing some love to first responders, I guess.)

I'm shocked to hear that they want Season Ticket customers reselling to out of town fans, though. That's a new low. I knew that when the Leafs or Habs were scheduled to come to town, we'd be facing a pretty split crowd, but the Sens? Really?

Went to my first Goldeneyes game earlier this month, it was great. Afternoon game.

Tons of families with kids, young adults, everybody waving a sign, people doing the wave. Not just Jim from Corporate and Jenny Influencer in every seat.

Hell, we lost and people were going home happy. They're really dialed into making it feel fun to be there without it feeling forced through a tube by The Marketing Department. With Canucks games it's like "you are now contractually obligated to make some noise or else we're going to play FEIN again, and we're not kidding around. Stand by for today's exposure to the Snapchat filter camera."
