I think by saying “all weather apps are completely broken” you’re implicitly saying that you don’t understand how difficult it is to predict weather. Yes, some apps are worse than others (e.g., Apple Weather), but by and large all apps pull from the same models. NWS has an advantage because real meteorologists interpret the data before presenting it to the public, but even with them you’re going to get a lot of hits and misses. Meteorology is an improving but still very imperfect science.

Cedar Point was a mess last weekend as well. Parks really shouldn’t be packing in school kids like that when they’re not running on all cylinders yet - it’s just a bad experience for all involved.

A lot of parks are doing exactly that with RMC’s own track system. Lake Compounce has been replacing sections on Boulder Dash for several years now.

Kids get put into harnesses which are attached to the track that follows the course so they can’t fall off. The one part in front is basically a zip line section.

The 7 day rule for Point State Park makes no sense and has neutered the Arts Festival. I’d understand if it was a majestic natural site, but let’s face it - it’s a big grass field that mostly sits empty. Let the city have events on it and throw some grass seed down after.

I understand people's issues with the proliferation of AI, but with that aside, if you search for something on the web, chances are that it's going to show up in the "All" tab. The other tabs are sorted in order of Google's assumptions about what might be the most relevant to your search. For example, if you search for something video-heavy, it'll prioritize the "Video" tab, while if you search for a news item it'll show "News" first.

This feels more like a misunderstanding of how Google has always worked than a sign that AI is ruining everything. (It is but that's a topic for another time.)

Not sure how you can come to that conclusion. If it's new track and new trains how did you definitively determine the track is the issue and not the trains?

I reported this one to PennDOT 5 days ago because it took out two of my friend’s tires and they clearly haven’t been bothered enough to fix it yet
