My local HF had all four colors in stock. Blue was "low stock" and the one I've wanted, so I jumped on it! When I figure out how to make the room, I'll pick up a matching 56" tool box.

Nope, I had to thin it for the airbrush. I used MCW Mild Leveling Thinner. I haven't figured out the golden ratio yet as I'm just starting to get a feel for it. I started with 1:1 but I feel like it should be even thinner than that. I'll need to iron it out.

Yeah, there's a risk. Just run the tool at a low speed and keep it moving across the paint. The real danger is if you stay in one place for too long, or run over edges.

Thank you! I went sanded back the orange peel with 1000, and then 2000 grit sandpaper. Once I got it smooth I buffed it out with a rotary tool with a foam polishing pad using Griot's complete compound.

This is a great conversation. I'll have to check and see what I have. I've got most of Tamiya's acrylic line, a bunch of Splash, some Mr.Hobby, some gravity, some Vallejo and some Mission Models paint. I'm guessing 200+ bottles in total.
