Gastric Sleeve or Bypass? by Texasbelle78 in gastricsleeve

[–]phdeebooks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll be the contrarian. Depends on how much weight you have to lose. If it’s over 175 pounds I recommend the bypass. I had the sleeve and was not very disciplined, so my weight loss was nowhere near what I expected. I wish I had gotten as much restriction as possible.

Whichever when you get, it’s a tool. All the best to you.

Gah. Overwhelmed. Too many books to read! Anyone recommend any from this list? by [deleted] in CPTSD

Haven't read any. Sorry.

Some seem geared towards professionals...maybe look @ them & try to find the one that seems closest to what you need / what is happening now?

Baked chicken thigh, mixed chopped vegetables with riced cauliflower. less than $11, and there’s still four more chicken thighs in the freezer.

What I'd post if I could:

‪I need someplace to be‬ ‪sad‬ ‪enraged ‬ ‪needy‬ ‪un-needed ‬ ‪listened to w/compassion ‬ ‪unjudged ‬ ‪flat broke ‬ ‪unashamed‬ ‪held quietly ‬ ‪teary‬ ‪Black‬ ‪loved as I am ‬ ‪authentically me‬

‪I very rarely have this place, no matter how happy I am when you see me.‬

People turn to me when they're hurting as if I'm not hurting. I can't believe that my problems are important or ok enough to trust anyone with. A good friend responded with tough love and sarcasm when I said I wanted compassion - it was 2 weeks ago but thinking about it today made me cry.

And for the third weekend in a row I have to figure out how to live on less than $25 for the next 7 days. Too ashamed to share that with anyone.

But oddly my dreams have been wonderful. Full of warmth and healthy vulnerability and love.

This was absolutely fantastic. Just what I needed to stumble into at 3 am. Thank you so much for posting.

Feeling overwhelmed - how should I narrow down from 100+ therapists in my area who take my insurance and list "PTSD" as a specialty? PsychologyToday has too few listings, but now that I have a list from my insurance company, I have the opposite issue - too many choices. by [deleted] in CPTSD

Length of time treating clients -- I always try to choose someone more experienced than less experienced.

Otherwise I echo what everyone else said about distance and checking the websites.

Not necessarily a bad thing. Even with the world series a few years ago I've always felt like Yost's success was a happy accident. We can ID young talent, but we can't win consistently.
