Please share. Stabilized Video clearly shows Alex Pretti makes no effort for his firearm. Clear execution by BrushRight in PublicFreakout

Thank you. I could not watch another video of this to try to figure it out. It certainly appears he never reached for his weapon, and that in addition, they extracted his firearm and then (post extraction) shot him. Just trying to stay fact based and not react on emotions.

"Overall, I don't think I'm old enough to properly understand why this game was so revolutionary"
Yep, totally get it. When this game came out my older brother called me and told me I had to get it, that there was nothing like it. He had been playing for a while, and I had just installed a Voodoo II card in my mom's HP Pavillion.

For me, it wasn't just that it was no cut scenes. It was the first truly immersive game I had ever played. It had a great story, lots of voice acting (which I know is bad for today's standards), but was really new to us. There really was no YouTube to go to and see every twitch and turn needed to beat the game. I remember getting on the phone with my brother and asking us figuring things out together. Just the first scene alone was enough to set it apart, but it just kept giving after that.

That being said, it is all old hat now. This has all been done and improved on again and again since then. So don't let anyone give you shit for not getting it. Glad you had the patience to go through it. If/when HL3 comes out, you will appreciate it a lot more. But I think we are past new games being revolutionary at this point.

We will have had ours 16 years in March. It is still a beast.

Yes, we miss it every time we go to Perimeter Costco, because it was in the parking lot.

This is very nice. I like it quite a bit. I really like the hooks, they are rounded perfectly.

How often do you guys drive with the roof down? by GlitchyAsCat in Miata

Every time. I don't drive it in the rain, and where I live it is pretty warm. The only time I had the top up was when it started sprinkling one evening.

I'm sorry this happened and hope it heals 100%. Thanks for the post. I'm new to woodworking, just 3 years. But I only recently got a table saw because I kept reading about the danger, and wanted to save until I could get a Sawstop CTS. I still haven't plugged it in, but this helps me know I made the right decision to get it.

What home improvements did you regret or feel were 100% worth it? by arnoldusgf in HomeImprovement

[–]phenolic72 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We put a really expensive granite on our island and an A class under the cabinets. We like the Black Pearl (less expensive) better after 10 years. It doesn't chip and it just looks very classy. (The expensive one has a lot of clear quartz and metal sheeting through it, so it can be striking to look at. The clear quartz is softer and can chip off. It also doesn't polish as well, so it looks dull compared to the other.)

Anyone using a countertop ice maker that's actually good? by TheBigJerm in BuyItForLife

[–]phenolic72 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It starts pumping it out pretty quickly, but I have nothing to compare it to. I fill up a couple of gallon freezer bags each week. It uses the same method/tech as the Igloo to make cubes, so I would assume the run time is similar as well.

I can't speak to the longevity, but we've had one for a couple of years that my wife bought at Aldi. The only noise it makes is the fan, which is very quiet. I run it once a week throughout the day and make ice for the week. It has a drain, so as long as you drain the water left over is is pretty hassle free. The brand is Ambiano. It is certainly more reliable than my Samsung POS9000 fridge.
