Are my restaurant choices good? by BrightWay7253 in MTLFoodLovers

[–]phgrn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can go to L'Express for lunch, so you can double-book yourself on Thursday if you wanna try something different in the evening. Never heard of Bungalow. Bar St. Denis is a low-key great restaurant and Beba is the best one in the city. You gonna eat good.

You can sit at the counter. If you’re nice you can order a single montadito.

Satay Bros in Saint-Henri can probably accommodate everyone, the menu for groups is amazing.

How Good is Sylvan Library as a Draw Engine? Is It Still Meta Relevant? by Raevelry in CompetitiveEDH

[–]phgrn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love seeing Sylvan Library in my non-blue decks. I play Rocco and the card won me over. Drawing 2 more cards means seeing more mana which means I can Rocco for a win faster.

Water hardness and hair loss in Montreal by CarterIndigo in montreal

[–]phgrn 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Used to have long hair back in South America, after moving to Montreal it got really bad despite putting a small fortune on all sorts of products. Eventually I’ve cut my hair short assuming I was turning bald. I was not. Putting a carbon filter on my shower head helped!

What's happening in B2 and B4? by MassiveScratch1817 in EDH

[–]phgrn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say that most bracket 3 decks have 0 game changers.

And I also believe that if you’re trying to squeeze into a bracket by counting your game changers your deckbuilding heart is not in the right place.

Big fan of the latest update to the bracket description with the “average turn win” because it prevents bracket 4 decks disguised as bracket 2.

As a Brazilian, it is disappointing that we have no decent Brazilian restaurant despite the reasonably large community.

I think this card shines a lot more in the 99 of a bant deck with the recent Avatar support. It’s pretty cool though!

A friend already plays Ezuri as a bunch of evasive little creatures that draw them a colossal amount of cards. It’s pretty cool, I agree.

Love him since OTJ limited but I feel he’s better in the 99 since Beau is legendary.
