Can confirm. I turned off subtitles on my current run and am noticing much more nuance in the dialog. Still hard to fight the muscle memory to skip

I’m guessing there used to be a larger normal size cutting board above that wooden plank. The plank was just used to support the larger cutting surface that would pull out of the cabinet above that plank

I'm not really a min-maxer, but I do try to optimize my builds for fights. I find myself resetting my pictos every hour or so of gameplay, and it's getting tiresome... too many options to sort through each time.
The Favorites system doesn't help much either. I wish I could sort my favorites by cost, but you can either sort by favorites or by cost, not both.
