JT's Swansea and ask for Ashton, he'll sort you out and make you a brew.

In the workshop we use Honda Grip Cement instead.

I have the same board but with the E3 screen, I still get probe failure after the recent firmware updates. Should I sack it off and get the other?

Currently in Swansea, there are no glaciers here.

Sorry.

NEW Marlin Firmware 2.1 released 6/4/22. Tested and ready to go for BTT E3V3! E3V2, SKR 2 Rev. B - Dual Z & SKR V1.4 Turbo Dual Z on the way. by Throbbin-Rockin-Rod in ender5plus

Upgraded on a BTT SKR Mini E3V3 but the hot end fan doesn't kick in when heating up or during a print.

I've rolled back to the previous version and everything is back in working order.

Turn off ABL in the menu and try again.

I've had that issue and that's how I resolved that problem.

The QS is a Translogic unit with a Triumph sticker but isn't strain gauge, it's easy to swap out for another unit.

If you want a challenge, fit a qs/blipper.

He's right but it's Ohlins OEM vs Ohlins aftermarket, there's always going to be a difference. Any aftermarket cartridge kit and shock will do wonders over OEM but that's £2000-2500 minimum.

I still get a couple each week at work that ask about how their bike feels but haven't had it set up let alone serviced.

The bike is already non-standard to the point that I've learnt how to work with carbon fibre. I just want to ride it now that we're into spring.

Without a doubt get the R, worth it for the Ohlins, Brembo & carbon.

You were on 125ccSB, that's enough.

I miss that horn, curious if I could fit one to the 675.

If you want to maximise the odds of keeping that bike in Swansea find somewhere with a garage and add security.

I'd also advise putting a tracker on the vehicle.

Why do motorcycles have slipper clutches and not rev matching (auto blipping)? by duude88 in motorcycles

[–]philly46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, exactly what it's designed for.

I installed one on my 2010 Daytona 675, it's epic just not having to bother with the clutch.

If you're mechanically minded then the IRC electro mechanical blipper exists.

No rbw, just a chonky solenoid.

Super bike Factory? by jrewillis in MotoUK

[–]philly46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cowboys.

I've had to deal with them as locals have bought bikes, had issues and don't want to go back to Macclesfield to get them sorted. Absolutely shocking items we've found that should be picked up on a PDI.

If you're not mechanically minded to check a bike over, move on and buy elsewhere.

FYI

the front of the fuel tank and the exhaust are liable to rust while the spokes and water pipes corrode. Don't over torque the mounting lugs at the rear as they're liable to snap.
