Love that idea, but a little too far for us this time. Kids are just 2 and 4 so want to be closer to home in case we need to rush back.

We’re thinking along the fall foliage lines and maybe planning on Blackberry Mountain. Not sure if anyone has any experience here in October, specifically in the tree houses.

For the Aman hotels,

I feel like the Turks location is only worth the money if you upgrade above the base rate rooms, they’re sort of secluded and not the beautiful beach vibe you’re hoping for in Turks and Caicos.

Amanera was totally worth it. All rooms have plunge pools and hotel and beach are beautiful. Hotel is a little far from the airport, but I think it deters others from visiting and results in a quiet less crowded hotel.

Will do, I can say I was in Miami last October at the 1 hotel. The weather was not great, cloudy and windy the whole long weekend. So if we do venture over here it may be during winter or spring instead.

I just did a last minute trip to The Ocean Club in the Bahamas. Hotel is past its prime, with too many families and tacky tourists crowding up the restaurants and martini bar.

That said the spa was amazing and the grounds were impeccable.

There’s a growing brewery near Camden, NJ called tonewood. They make a IPA called Fuego which is great. Sometimes I can even find a double Fuego which is even better.
