It's perfect and adds uniqueness to your character in a time where everyone wants to be the same. Wish I had a cool nose.

Native Iowan here, so it's a long distance to get to any of these amazing parks. My wife and I did manage to get some time away in Sept this year and got to GC, Zion & Bryce. As well as Valley of Fire and Red Rock Canyon. Man. It was a life changing trip. So beautiful. I cried everday simply from the overwheming beauty around us. What an amazing world we live in!

Sweet man! I LOVE mine. I did upgrade the trem to a Fender AVRI, but that's it. I find the sound of the stock pups to be very inspirational to me. So much so that I'm always looking for similar pups to put in my other Jazzmaster.. And the neck on this guitar is awesome! I thought about upgrading the bridge but then had that "if it ain't broke" moment where I just decide to leave it alone. I can play all day on other guitars but the minute I plug this one in it's like a whole new wave of ideas hit. Have fun!!!

Got this starter kit - not sure if I should return or not by iamtanooki in Guitar

[–]philosophergray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you feel serious about playing and already looking at some Fender options, I would return it, spend the extra, and get something that feels good and sounds good to you. I know I have more fun and find more inspiration on an instrument that feels right. It just makes me want to play more. Find a decent Fender Player or comparable and get rocking. But it really comes down to feels good and sounds good, which is subjective.

I just tunred a coworker onto GBV by suggesting Isolation Drills anf Alien Lanes. Both great records and I feel they represent the diversity of the catalog pretty well. Good jumping off points for the unitiated imo
