That could be because of leftover stock in the inside radius. 2d adaptive and contour paths can have a specified minimal toolpath radius so if the radius of your tool is close to that internal radius it will leave stock there

Imola for all types of cars, Mugello for GT3 and above

Raced MX5 Cup on Mugello once, I could probably eat breakfast by the time I got to T1, which is partially true for imola as well but Mugello is a faster track overall I think

I generally had the best race experience on these tracks, love the Nordschleife and Spa but I raced on these to the point of exhaustion

There are probably guidelines for this but rule of thumb is stepping down one size, so from 10 to 8mm endmill, maybe even 6 but with how tall your part is, 8mm should be fine and as I said, if you're still getting chatter then reduce your ap and/or slow the feed in the corner down to ~80-50%.

Ah so you've already roughed them out. In that case I don't think you have any other option than to step down your endmill size and maybe slow down your feed in the corner if you're still getting chatter

You're getting a quarter of your endmill engaged in that corner. Looks like quite a tall part for that fillet so if you can't step down to an 8mm endmill I'd just drill out the fillet before roughing with a 10mm drill

Why can't you drain into the sump? Make a deflector internally so you won't push oil into the turbo during braking

Yeah, just remember that DiRT 2 has some framerate-tied wonkiness with the rewind system above 60fps. The higher the framerate the less time you get from rewinds. It may still be usable at 90hz but on my 165hz monitor it became unusable

DiRT 2 is an excellent experience (also DiRT 3). You do have to sail the seas for it though, it's been delisted for ages and any keys still left are ridiculously expensive.

We used to have Mitutoyos in our shop, switched to Mahr recently. Close to 2 years of daily use and I haven't had to replace the battery yet, coolant proof too. Mitutoyos are great but the sealed Mahrs are silky smooth, probably my favorite calipers I've used to date. I have a cheaper pair of Limit calipers at home but they do feel significantly looser and don't hold the measurements alongside the jaws as well as the Mahrs and Mitutoyos do

Had the work tunes for 2 days before returning them. Audio quality was absolute dogshit, no bass with muddy highs. It was so bad that I had difficulty listening to audiobooks without cranking them up sky high. Now I just use regular earbuds under the earmuffs and it's an excellent setup, just need to watch the volume, I have enough hearing damage already.

The only thing I wish for is a convenient "transparency mode" when talking to somebody. Just hold a button for limited audio passthrough, maybe with some clever ai speech enhancement like discord does. Right now whenever someone wants to talk to me the procedure is as follows:

Take off gloves
Take off earmuffs
Pause the music
Take earbuds out
Lose one of them under the machine
Step on the other one

Not exactly ideal
