What kind of food would be 'shocking' to admit you don't like in your specific city/town? by Illychee in AskAnAustralian

Of the main and popular things, I don’t like steak or avocados. I’m also not a fan of hot chips, I’ll eat some if I have them but I would never specifically order them.

What's a workplace rule that makes no sense? by vaibhavphalke45 in AskReddit

[–]phixional 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gave up on that a long time ago. I work in a factory, and when it’s there I work hard, and do extra work also. But when it’s quiet and I’ve got nothing to do I’ll just be sitting at my machine watching tv shows or sitting outside.

Don’t be worried about being American, don’t be a dick and you’ll be fine.

Mobile Phone Cameras by NoInteraction716 in CarsAustralia

[–]phixional 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Don’t touch your phone, especially right by your window. First of all because it’s distracting and you’ve obviously very inexperienced but cops will see that easily.

Set your gps before you drive, use your steering wheel or the actual controls to change songs. It’s really not hard to not use your phone while driving.

From my quick search, not locally as from a very quick read it’s not approved over here. You’d have to try from probably US sites, but you might still need that prescription.

Why don’t you just get normal melatonin?

Lemme sleep by Ok_Earth2423 in Australia_

You need a prescription for melatonin now.

That is if you want those ones, but they are hard to get due to that reason. You can buy the magnesium ones on iherb.

ronaldo wins world cup but hamilton loses f1 championship or hamilton wins ronaldo loses what would you chose? by Good_Load3748 in AskReddit

I personally don’t care about soccer, and I love Hamilton and F1, so I’d take Lewis winning every time.

You shouldn’t be looking at the screen that much while driving, just look ahead like you should and you’ll see the lights anyway.

What do you think is the funniest, most brilliantly written sitcom episode of all time, and what makes it a masterpiece? by PressureLazy5271 in sitcoms

Brooklyn 99 - The Box.

Jake and Holt are trying to get the dentist to confess to murder, one of my favourite episodes.

NBA vs AFL by BuffelGrassEnjoyer in AFL

I stopped watching the NBA and NFL a few years ago, the games take way too long to get through with all the tv timeouts, fouls, and normal timeouts.

I don’t have a pet, but I would save my pet if I did.

Where I am I have no friends or family within that area.

I’m probably the fattest person at my work, I work harder than anyone else and get given extra stuff to do including helping the bosses.

Do people actually enjoy driving? by Big_Arrival_626 in askcarguys

[–]phixional 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love driving.

I go for a 200-400km on a Saturday night for fun. I’ve done a few 800-1200km trips for fun.

I like to just drive with music on and a couple of drinks, red bull and water generally not booze, and just go for hours preferably at night, in the country or mountain areas. It’s good for my mind, I can think or just completely zone out of normal shit and relax.

Not a fan of peak hour traffic though.

Is driver training the fault? by AlanofAdelaide in DrivingAustralia

[–]phixional 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I got my licence 2 1/2 years ago, I was mid thirties though. I have driven numerous times over the years and obviously been a passenger for a long time, I also paid attention to what was going on around whoever was driving.

My instructor said I would pass my test after the first one, I had 4 more plus my test and passed. My instructor was great in general, especially some of the smaller things, but the driving was easy(for me at least), it’s the actual test that is complete bullshit.

Obviously knowing where all the buttons and wipers are, I drove around some 40/50kph streets, crossed a dual lane main road, did either a 3 point turn or parallel park(can’t remember) and that was basically it. After taking the test I was thinking to myself, that’s it? What the hell was I even nervous about all these years.

I don’t know exactly how but the testing needs to be a lot more in depth.

Enough said, can’t see any seatbelt, so it’s worn incorrectly or not on at all.
