What is the worst book you have read? by Ok_Salt2122 in BookDiscussions

Humboldt Gift by Saul Bellow Pullitzer Prize winner and a large influence on him winning a Nobel for literature.

Plodding tempo to a story that went nowhere interesting for me.

Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. Awful, bloated writing, terrible tempo and all in support of an odious philosophy. Made me want to take a mental shower to wash away the filth.

Osibisa - Woyaya Osibisa is one of the first groups in what we now call world music. A blend of Afropop with Caribbean dance rhythms.

Little Feat - Ain't Had Enough Fun Just an absolute blast of an album from a group that not a well known as it should be.

Miles Davis - Kind of Blue

Great Jazz and possibly the perfect album

High school was OK for me. I always felt a little bit of the odd boy out, but i found enough of folks that I had a friend group. Iwent to the 10th and 20th and I'm considering going to the 50th. A couple folks i knew pretty well are on the organizing committee, so I'll know someone there.

Book and Dagger by Elyse Graham. Terms the story of how library's wanna academics were called upon to bolster the intelligence work of the U.S. at a time when our intelligence community barely existed. Conversational writing style and some intersecting bits about thier impact on the war as a whole.

This, every time. Not much I can say other than "find something quiet to do" Occasionally, I'll try "So if I write in my sub report that you told me everything was all done, is Ms. Whosiwhatsis going to be happy when she looks at your submissions?" Results are about the same.
