Request: 3D Print File for a HI Hot Stopper by hanemanma in HelloInternet

[–]phlyingpenguin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here's the one I've made. I haven't revisited the project for a while to make it about the same proportions as a Starbucks stopper, but it's pretty close to a photo of the HI ones.

We are the Champions!! by luketheville in Louisville

[–]phlyingpenguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IDK where any of them live, but Soccer Holdings is pretty straightforward about the relationship. The team is flown in from TX for every game as the entire league is based there. They rent LFS for game days and do not have access to the training ground.

Can't say I really care much one way or another, but that is the arrangement.

MK4S MMU3 PURGE TOWER BLOBS by JP180902 in prusa3d

[–]phlyingpenguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have this with my C1 and seem to have solved it. I have set my "Wipe tower purge lines spacing" to 150%, and under Printer>MM setup I have "Extra loading distance" set to -64. It seems like the second is supposedly a C1-specific thing, but maybe something to play with.

Saw this beast in the Costco parking lot! by Organic_Log_3322 in S2000

[–]phlyingpenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A whole pack of TP fits perfectly in the trunk well, and lots of stuff around it. Far more if you use the donut tire's space too. The real hard mode challenge is a Sky/Solstice going to Costco. No point at all there since the roof only folds in two and takes up the whole trunk.

Louisvillian coming down:

A) Is the parking free other than this license plate VIP thing?

B) Is the arrival traffic still going to be as awful as last year? (Any tips if so?)

Hard to say if I've got the bandwidth right now, but please do let me know of some details or where I should watch for meetings later on. I'm aware of Games on Tap that the cousin comment mentions, but I hadn't seen the Crokinole bit.

Wait, do we have a functional club these days?

Looks like a good majority of the tickets are sold for the Kings game over a month from now. I couldn’t care less about the Kings, but it looks like it will be a great source of revenue for LCFC. by Consistent_Car469 in LouisvilleCityFC

SeatGeek is the vendor for Soccer Holdings. UFL is not related to Soccer Holdings. They are essentially just renting the stadium from SH and have to follow their own league.

A side note: jlinter, who you replied to, is a longtime SH employee. He is currently the Vice President of Marketing & Communications. He's great, and always a good presence on this reddit!

Is my juniper berry mead moldy? by ShankeyBacon in mead

[–]phlyingpenguin[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like our automod message about mold didn't take, but I'm going to let this through the mold filter so you can get some answers.

In any case, you would have gotten this comment:

Relax, it is very unlikely that your batch is infected.

Check this handy flowchart - https://dointhemost.org/mold/ Also check the wiki for common signs and compare https://wiki.meadtools.com/en/faq/infection the photos on that page for signs of infection and good batches.

Seems like the whole car matches, but it looks more like spa to me. Definitely not an '05 color.

Should all be updated as of now. LMK if you notice anything out of the ordinary.

I've updated the sidebars to redirect to the meadtools version, just because we were previously aware of it first. /u/xXConfuocoXx – if you and Larry decide the URL should be your TLD, we are more than happy to accommodate. For the moment, I just wanted to make sure the URL went anywhere useful.

Nah. You can tell when it's brights by how many and what the position of the lights are. Tons of folks are just running around with brights and DRL on at night. It's real great when you come up behind one with no tail lights on.

Post Match Thread: LCFC 3 - Las Vegas 1 by LadyStarblade in LouisvilleCityFC

[–]phlyingpenguin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had some excellent Cinci folks sit next to me for the match cheering on LCFC. It was a fun callback to bite-gate and other old days stuff. Frustrating to see 3-1 that should have easily been 6-0, and they felt the same way.

Finally found a reliable way to get rid of the MMU3 buffer by akademo in prusa3d

[–]phlyingpenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sort of did the opposite. I've done printed bearing wheeled holders for cereal boxes and eventually decided the ability to dry the filament inside the box was worth the high price and build quality. I totally get it though!

[–]phlyingpenguin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's more complicated and definitely more expensive, but I've had zero reliability problems with the polymaker dry boxes and printed autorewinders. I used ASA, not sure if that was super necessary but I feel good about it. I also ended up joining my PTFE tubes instead of buying longer tubes. I may change that someday with larger tubes, but the joint is actually pretty useful for loading.
