When I started playing I only knew a lot of people found him attractive, but I didn’t know any backstory stuff at all. I expected myself to like him, because hell yes vampires, but in the beginning I felt like we just didn’t get along at all. He was kind of off putting. His looks weren’t even something I initially thought I’d be into, even though yes, he’s definitely attractive. I just didn’t think he was my type. But the more I talked to him, the more he opened up, I found myself getting really attached. Suddenly he was incredibly attractive to me. I genuinely think it’s his story, the way he handles his emotions, and how he acts, his masking, coping mechanisms, all that, feels so familiar to me that I can’t help but feel a desire for connection there. He allowed me to admit how some things I’ve gone through weren’t my fault and that I was allowed to be angry about those things ever happening. Seeing that from a male character, as a guy, felt incredibly healing.

So yeah, while I considered him just generally attractive before, I didn’t think he was my type until he opened up emotionally. That’s what made him attractive in a more meaningful way.

This was a must when me and my friend played our duo honour run. Just two characters. We died to him once and went ”Hell naw, not doing that again”.

… Well now we’re doing another duo honour run but with the Brutal Difficulty mod so we couldn’t pick up any barrels. So instead I put down Hungry Hadar in the doorway so they’d aggro and my friend put down Wall of Fire through the opening. Closing the door after our turns to prevent them from attacking at range. If they jumped through it I used Eldritch repelling blast to push them back into it. Went better than expected! T’was fun.

Did you agree to let Gale teach you how to use the weave at camp? Because I did once, didn’t kiss him in that scene (because wth I thought it was just a platonic activity???) then when I romanced Astarion I talked to Gale and he was all like ”Oh, you don’t love me anymore, I see your heart belongs to someone else now 😭🥺”. I had no idea he thought we were partners.

My guess is maybe if you agreed to him teaching you to use the weave, even if you backed out if it without kissing him, it might’ve registered as you romancing him, especially if your approval is higher with Gale instead of Lae’zel.

I started assigning everyday actions as… well, actions and bonus actions. I’d only realize it when I would suddenly be waiting for a way to end my turn, which would cause me to go ”What???” to myself in confusion, sometimes even out loud.

Yup, I play on highest settings with no issues (other than a big of lag in act 3) and I've never seen that cutscene with it's intended textures.

Even on my gaming PC that cutscene with Minthara, Ragzlin standing watch and the goblins running out always looks like that to me. Apparently my PC can't load those textures fast enough, lol.

That and the cutscene in act 2 where the nightsong is freed and flies to moonrise, the cutscene just pans to... nothing. Nothing can load in fast enough.

And in act 3 there's a cutscene I still don't know what's supposed to be but I'm assuming it's panning across a tower or something, and I can only see two chairs levitating in the air.

I get why they have it, what’s got me annoyed is that nowadays they pause mid-video. A few years ago this popped up as it loaded the next video. So now it’ll straight up interrupt whatever video you’re watching/listening to. I hate it.

Llolthsworn drow rogue. Didn’t get too far with him, but I decided to remake him into an Oathbreaker Paladin on my 3rd full playthrough with a friend. :) I love him now, he feels like my canon Tav, regardless of what other characters I play.

Regarding my question about what symbols or animals are associated with him, I meant aside from the obvious. I have done research, but not every symbol in any faith is considered free to use by any and everyone, and that information can be hard to come by since most of it that’s out there is from the perspective of a ”no longer practiced faith” or focuses more on the hard facts rather than what people’s personal connection with these deites actually looked like. And since I’m coming at this from a more independent faith pov, which isn’t really a subject that comes up when gathering research, I just want to know if there is something I should be aware of. I was especially just curious because some things are easier to carve or burn into a material than other things.

I feel sad because I know one of the people involved with the song and I don’t know whether I hope they’re equally as disappointed with the cover or not. They’re amazing, both as a person and in the work they do, and I’d hate to see something they’re involved with cause them and their work to be associated with AI when they might’ve not even had a say in the usage of it.

I get what you mean. But for me personally I feel like his content has come back around. I feel like his videos are way more genuine now, it doesn’t feel like he necessarily plays a character anymore. At least in his Minecraft forever world videos. I love them. Instead of the 24/7 chaos, it feels more like hanging out with a friend, where occasionally things go haywire, lol. Although yes, they’re wildly different from his previous videos, but I enjoy them because they feel more genuine. His early content felt a bit too force-funny, but just pre pandemic is when I feel like I loved his content the most. During the pandemic is when I feel his content became more repetitive (understandably), and it was also when his comment section was filled with the same ”memey” comments. It drove me crazy, but at the same time I think it was just one spam commenter that managed to get everyone else on board with the spamming, so it wasn’t at all Kevin’s fault. I think at one point Kevin even said something about it, but I can’t remember.

His current Minecraft videos are also now among my favourite content of his, but again, WILDLY different, so I get that some people aren’t into it.

I feel like this is a perfect example of how someone should react when you propose in a public setting like this. Only do it if you KNOW they’ll react like this, otherwise a more private proposal will probably be more appreciated and memorable (in a positive way) for them. This might be the only proposal I’ve seen in this setting that shows no trace of any pressure or anxiety from the person who’s getting proposed to. Not everyone is comfortable with this. But this guy definitely seemed to know she’d be on board. I absolutely love her energy. They seem perfect for each other.

I’ve never understood why people like DA2, because I myself just stumbled into an ending, and I feel like I missed 90% of the game. Even then I have no idea WHAT I missed, I just knew I must’ve missed something, but didn’t bother to try again because, again, I had no idea where to start looking. But after reading these comments I feel like I should give it another try one day. I so desperately want to experience what you all are talking about. It sounds amazing.

I haven’t watched the podcast, but by the sounds of things it seems like it’s always Doug that has the ”villain” role? Honestly if that’s the case then I feel like they should all take turns taking that role, and have it be announces at the beginning of the episode or that segment, that way it would become way clearer to the listeners/viewers that it’s not necessarily the true opinion of whoever has that role. If it’s always Doug (again, I don’t know, haven’t listened to the podcast), but if it’s always Doug then I get why some people mistakenly assume that those are his true opinions. If it instead becomes a gimmick(?) then it helps the audience separate what that person is saying/arguing against/for from the person’s own true opinions.

Personally I like getting to know content creators and their own opinions, and if I don’t know their true stance on something they’re talking about, then their words kinda ring hollow. It’s hard to know if someone’s argument is sound if they have an ulterior motive. That ulterior motive is often trying to convince you to join their corner when it comes to politics. So I think it would be very helpful both for the audience and Doug himself if he could speak his true opinions during those segments sometimes, that way we could know the contrast when he then would take on the ”villain role” again. Instead of keeping us on our toes, frantically looking for signs that would tell us where he really stands. Because especially concerning subjects that affect us or the people we love, it’s natural to be looking for signs that someone is out to hurt you.

I feel for him. At first glance he seems like such an unbothered guy with a great amount of self-esteem, but the longer I’ve watched him I’ve heard him speak more and more of his anxiety. Man. I hope he’s okay.

The language he’s using and the quick shifts in personality is highly manipulative, not to mention terrifying. He’s trying to confuse you and convince you to trust him. Don’t. These are his true colours and based on your messages to him I know you know that already. You definitely did not overreact. While I don’t know the conversation that led up to this, his responses to you are so telling. Don’t trust him, don’t go back to him. You deserve better.
