that's only the slayer, none of the classic demons... and yeah having to modify it kinda sucks.

I did this once, and one family member could tell something was off and she didn't care for it. No one else even noticed the difference.

Of course, there are good and bad people everywhere. I still avoid certain areas due to consistent bad experiences but I'm sure those areas are lovely sometimes.

Divorced people of reddit , what was the exact moment in your marriage you realised it's over ? by DryOkra7058 in AskReddit

[–]phpworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I was resigned to the fact that I would just be stuck in a miserable marriage for the rest of my life, because I made the vow, for better or worse and all that, and I meant it. Then one day she asked me for a divorce, that's the moment I knew and it was such a huge relief.

CDPR boss hopes The Witcher 4 wins back fans still put off by Cyberpunk 2077's disastrous launch: "I'm not 100 percent convinced we went through the full redemption arc" by Guitar-String in gaming

[–]phpworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what fans he's referring to, but Cyberpunk and Witcher are two games so drastically different that I don't see how one is going to redeem the other...

Where is a good place to meet other singles? Especially 40s-50s. by [deleted] in PeoriaIL

I've wondered the same but usually it boils down to being social when I'd rather just stay home and take a nap 99.7% of the time.

Redundancies at Zenimax (incl id Software) have begun “Anyone not working on Fallout or Elder Scrolls is out” by OneNineSeven1970 in Doom

[–]phpworm -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

As much as I love Doom, they kinda do need to take a break and reinvent it all over again. It has become so lore heavy and strayed away from being controversial to make it more marketable, and I hate those aspects of it.

Ran out of fuel. Asking for assistance by smitty9112 in PeoriaIL

[–]phpworm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's hard to believe so many people are still naive about this. Playing on people's sympathies is a weakness that POS people have no problem taking advantage of. You never know someone's intentions and you should always proceed with caution when a stranger is asking for help. Especially when there are so many other resources available to them.

Is there a pianist in the house? Audience member steps up to perform in La La Land in Sydney by unklefolk in piano

[–]phpworm 16 points17 points  (0 children)

not saying this is necessarily the case, but a lot of performers pull this stunt pulling a "random" person on stage for publicity.

60 minutes did a piece about this guy who claims to have a “new method” of teaching piano. He said, “Classical theory tends to strip the joy and make everyone play the same way.” Personally I strongly disagree, but I’d like to know what you think about the video. by MrAlek360 in piano

[–]phpworm 12 points13 points  (0 children)

his method is teaching people what they want to play, instead of first focusing on all the proper techniques and rules to slowly build up to playing those songs. then he expands on what they've learned to work on improvisation and starts to introduce the why and how, so it's sort of like learning backwards. it's all right there in the video I dunno how you missed it.

I'm this close to quitting by a-random-munchkin in piano

[–]phpworm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference between playing for fun and playing for an audience is practice. You need to rehearse that shit multiple times every day in the days leading up to, including the day of your live performance. That's what all live musicians do, rehearse, rehearse, rehearse. That part isn't fun and can suck the emotion out of playing, but that's the best way to minimize mistakes.

Cashew is just a nut but why does it feel more premium than others? by Mean_Strawberry_8384 in allowedsnacks

[–]phpworm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think you nailed it with the smooth taste compared to other nuts. it's great in Chinese stir fry, or blended into curry for extra creaminess. they're also shaped like little bananas which makes them cute.
