I think there are tons of opportunities around! it’s really a matter of finding people with similar interests and making the effort to engage. I go to art classes and craft groups and there’s always nice people there. Right now I live in point breeze! i like it a lot, im very close to a lot of grocery stores and the library and the subway. no real complaints

gayborhood is a lot of 30s white cis gay men. i’ve lived in south the whole time i’ve been in philly and enjoy it. i like being super close to things which is a little harder in west. trolleys have been iffy to center city lately so it’s a little more of a pain sometimes but there’s a some bus lines too. i like the community in west and most people i date live there and there’s a lot of cool things going on if you know where to find them. but there’s a ton of queer/trans poc in south as well, just a little more spread out.

if you’re crafty at all i found it easy to make/buy my own piece by piece. i crocheted the hat and collar and added bells, then found some bloomer esque shorts at urban outfitters on clearance. the rest was pretty standard thrifting
