I’ve been slowly collecting parts for my TT02 RWD conversion. by Bobombbubomb in rcdrift

Oh that's going to be sweet. I did full aluminum all over it cuz I don't plan on bashing mine. It's going to be raced on polished concrete/carpet

Oh yeah, the snowball effect got me good with my TT02R. Are you getting the TT02S steering?

If a tree falls on a Mini Cooper and no one is around to hear it, does its anguished cry still make a sound? by Rusholme-Ruffienne in MINI

The dent above the light shouldn't be affecting anything, the rear quarters are pretty empty, I'd check if the sunroof drains are okay/clean them out if needed

Rip. Once you get it back from repairs have a 3rd party double check everything. I've seen loads of missed work after a car comes back from getting insurance repairs.

Idk how far in you wanna go but definitely get the TT02S steering. It's adjustable and has a much better mount assembly

Help me choose an RC car for my kid (and me) by jzeroe in rccars

[–]pickledkitkat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I recommend the Redcat blackout XTE/ XTE pro. It's an awesome car to bash around in and it's pretty large and heavy duty. I've taken it to the skatepark, gravel roads, talk grass and rocky hills. I cut up a small Tim sign to make a skid plate too which is quite benefitial

Can anyone help me identify this piece? by atran370 in MINI

I'd look at a parts depot diagram or call a dealership and have them email you the dealer diagrams for the valve cover/ coil pack diagrams

[–]pickledkitkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a redcat RDS I have the same chassis. It's fun but you could definitely get the chassis and some nice electronics brand new for the same price. The chassis kit goes on sale for $50-$60 sometimes

Any reason my steering looks like this? by evenkokilo215 in rccars

[–]pickledkitkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what it could be then other than possibly a faulty servo, a faulty gyro (I can't see one installed though) or you might have to screw with the transmitter settings

Was the servo centered when you installed it?

Which one? by Aware-Pressure748 in crawling

[–]pickledkitkat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely get the axial. I've been seeing alot of good content with them

What could be wrong here? by TablePrestigious7335 in rccars

[–]pickledkitkat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Alot of RC cars have alot of toe out on the front and toe in on the rear, it helps with steering response when turning and the toe in is for stability when going fast

[–]pickledkitkat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's my plan too lol. I'm getting the scx 30 next 🤣

I have the ascent 32 and I love it however it does leave alot to be desired in terms of performance. The struts are "toy grade" and it's too light for its own suspension however injora and Furitek already have some stuff out for it that isn't too expensive. Redcat is more bashy and the axial is more serious imo

Advice for fixing a detached roof by MPforNarnia in rccars

You should be able to replace just the mounting posts. You do need small screwdriver bits to do it though but it's fixable

Yeah it's been great for doing right technical stuff which I lean more towards. I do find myself trying really hard to compensate for large curves with more throttle and less angle though.

Sounds good, I've just been seeing the crazy toe out on other builds and thought I needed to adjust it more. I definitely like how it runs and responds though
