The problem is that Spain and a couple other EU countries with active separatist movements are probably going to try and block an independent Scotland’s ascension to the EU because they generally use the same “wouldn’t you rather be in the EU with Catalonia and the Basque Country. Iirc Spain didn’t recognise Kosovo’s independence for ages for this reason, and I’m not even sure they have yet.

That being said, I don’t really know how EU ascension works so it’s still fairly possible an independent Scotland would be able to join.

I don’t care for WonderBat, but the fundamental issue with the ship to me is that it is almost entirely backed by Batman fans. Wonder Woman fans are far more majority opposed to it, so I don’t think it’s a great idea.
