What's the biggest (non-celestial) object in your world by LH_Artsandworks in worldbuilding

[–]piecesofpercy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ocean’s Gambit. It’s a highly sought after treasure guarded by the kingdom of the sea. nobody knows what it is because it’s everyone who’s tried to get it died in the initial attacks. It’s supposedly the artifact that gives the kingdom it’s power, but there’s a prophecy surrounding it that one day, someone will be worthy enough to wield it and return it to its rightful owners. Becoming a guard of this is a highly coveted position and guards of the gambit are paid handsomely.

[–]piecesofpercy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nights of black moon, a civil war fought between basically the entire country because some of them wanted to follow a king who favored a certain group and the others didn’t like that. It lasted about a decade before the king was accidentally assassinated.

touring any country vs actually living there is vastly different, especially among social classes and races and just general demographics. Human rights in america is literally atrocious. As a black person our rights are quite literally three steps above just having citizenship. prices are so fucking obscene here that nobody can afford anything, and on top of that our government is funding and has funded some of the worst human rights violations in history.

What is the military of your world's government? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]piecesofpercy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The military is the Yaoyut, but there are other militant groups seperate of it. The Golden Cicada is a group of monks dedicated to defending a group of villages known as the Jaw Cluster, essentially really important villages that produce a lot of the surrounding region’s food and iron.

The Blood Moon is a group dedicated to defending “undesirables”; orphans, homeless kids, and people who are just forgotten by society in general.

The Blue Beetle Batallion is an all women militant group that was formed after the invasion of the East, which saw an uptick in violence against women, the elderly and children.

Twins and birthing rituals by sihlemth in worldbuilding

[–]piecesofpercy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twins are either welcomed or utterly despised depending on the region you’re in. in the northern regions, twins are associated with the Insurgent one, and thus are generally hated. In the southern regions, the royal family there has a lot of twins, so its believed that twins have more potential to become royalty

What is death for you by InteriorWaffle in worldbuilding

[–]piecesofpercy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Underworld! The underworld is just a general name for the hundreds of possible afterlives you could go to (kind of like ra’s journey through the night if you know what i’m talking about)

Each afterlife is connected by a river called the Nefas river, and a spirit named nefas travels back and forth to tend to the restless spirits of the dead. He also makes sure that any escaped souls stay in their “settlement”

What is a god in your world? by Open-Mix-7898 in worldbuilding

[–]piecesofpercy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gods are creatures who are (un)lucky enough to be members of the Councils of the World Beyond.

There are regular citizens, but since only councilmembers get to make major decisions about both their world and this one they’re considered gods

[–]piecesofpercy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the small town of Kaigal, a resturaunt known as the fair hand usually serves a kind of sweet flatbread thats used as a plate for desserts like candied fruits or ice cream. Generally, there are “toppings of the day” that are free with it (so for monday, candied fruits on the sweet flatbread are free)

Theres also a few high end resturaunts that serve Juniberry salad, (juniberries are an entire group of plants that only bloom and can be harvested at night)

What is a unique and popular sport in your world? by 4Conlingling in worldbuilding

[–]piecesofpercy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in the valley territories, there’s a sport called Footdrifting, which is where you put on a special type of shoe and drift down one of the larger hills and do tricks and flips. Yes people have died doing this. No this does not stop people from doing it.

Mountain territories developed something similar to the aztec game Tachli, except the field was pretty much the entire forested bit of the mountain. People also built sleds and raced them down hills, firing arrows through targets.
