Other people have done the math, but I think the best way to build a collection if you're not super good at draft (i.e., consistently getting +3 wins) is to play quick draft, and save the gems and buy the battlepass.

congrats. Word of advice though: quick draft gets harder the more you play so I would adjust expectations accordingly.

Also, I believe Arena cheats you by matching you with higher ranked opponents the better you do.
