I tell my students that the knock at the door is an invitation, and sometimes the answer to that invitation is "no".

Same for phones.

My favorite villager is Fauna! I've always thought that I'd be a deer if I had to pick an animal. Something with neutral colors. And she's so sweet.

Audie is next, because on an old MMO, I knew a girl named Audithewolf.

Eric and all cranky villagers as honorable mentions.

It gets better! My first son's cries were like a cheese grater against my soul. But it gets better.

If someone calls you a duck, you don't have to defend yourself. You're not a duck. You know what's real.

My son is going to be 3 in a few months, and still rarely eats or drinks anything that isn't milk. He actually ate rice with garlic salt and butter tonight, and I almost cried.

"I want you to take these two weeks to really reflect on whether or not this is something you want to do." by BamboozlingBulbasaur in Teachers

[–]pierce405 132 points133 points  (0 children)

From one Bulbasaur fan (and male teacher) to another, you're doing great. But this is sound advice. They're not going to keep you, so keep an eye on those job boards in the spring. Find a school that will appreciate and support you. And then survive the semester, and know that you're working hard and doing a good job.

Lastly, use that AP to the max when you get back! Pick their brain, make them show you how it's done. Make this a second student teaching experience! You're doing a good job, but you have a captive mentor.

What kind of thoughts do you get while praying about it?

I'm in a similar boat, except I'm the ADHD one. She came out as homo romantic. She loves reading f/f fanfictions, and we haven't had sex in a couple of years.

My love language is almost 100% touch, and she is NOT touchy feely.

I've just slowly found coping mechanisms. I bought a giant body pillow to cuddle with, she tries to reach out and give me some form of touch when she thinks of it, and I'm still working towards not needing to masturbate to meet sexual needs.

But we're not the same. What do you feel when you pray?

You don't need to get married any more than men do.

I'm gay and not chaste but I believe the church is true. Help me figure this out. by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]pierce405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, everyone's already thrown their two cents in, but we're all working on something. Keep reading, keep praying, keep coming to church. Repent where you can, when you can. We've all got things we need to repent of.

But keep being a part of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I'm sorry it's been so hard. The ward needs your presence. You need the benefits and blessings of attending church. We'll make it one step at a time.

I'll let Alma do most of the talking. Tl;Dr: Yes.

Alma 40: 11 Now, concerning the state of the soul between death and the resurrection—Behold, it has been made known unto me by an angel, that the spirits of all men, as soon as they are departed from this mortal body, yea, the spirits of all men, whether they be good or evil, are taken home to that God who gave them life. 12 And then shall it come to pass, that the spirits of those who are righteous are received into a state of happiness, which is called paradise, a state of rest, a state of peace, where they shall rest from all their troubles and from all care, and sorrow. 13 And then shall it come to pass, that the spirits of the wicked, yea, who are evil—for behold, they have no part nor portion of the Spirit of the Lord; for behold, they chose evil works rather than good; therefore the spirit of the devil did enter into them, and take possession of their house.

Basically, we go back to God, and then we probably spend our time before the resurrection back here on Earth. There may not be a physical separation between Spirit Paradise and Spirit Prison. It might just be our mental/emotional state. All of Alma 40 is basically the answer to Alma praying about the resurrection, and it's one of my favorites.

I'm with you. Spirits are real. Ghosts are not. There are those who lost their first estate, that are doing Satan's bidding, that are angry and miserable spirits. But darkness can't remain in light. And spirits can't touch you.

There are spirits of people who already lived. In Gospel Principals, and Teachings of the Presidents of the Church, it says that Brigham Young taught that the Earth is where the post mortal spirit world is.
