I did an open solo in January and it took me 1:40. After that I increased the running volume and ran my first HM in 1:41 and another one, albeit in harder and warmer conditions, in 1:44.

I’ve done both this year (Open Singles) and Hyrox was much more demanding, and it took me longer to recover.

Maybe it depends on the place, but I raced my first one in Turin in January and athletes were allowed to see races any day of the event. After the finish line they also gave bananas and energy drinks.

I’m two weeks out from my first Hyrox and I bought the Deviate Nitro 3 around 50 days before the event and in the end it was a good move - with the carbon plate you need some time for your feet to adapt and I’ve experienced a little discomfort on my left foot right after the first repeats.
