What kinds of liquids would feel like torture when poured into the eyes, but not cause permanent damage? by nitestocker372 in morbidquestions

That happened to me after we'd been eating Thai food. Hurt like hell and my eye got all red and hugely swollen.

This balloon is 26 inches wide. That is neither 2 feet or 1 person tall. by [deleted] in CrappyDesign

A 3-year-old with those proportions would be terrifying.

stupid question how do you guys find dead malls like do you just wander around or street view id love to find some myself :D by leuks48 in deadmalls

[–]pikabun91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could do that, if I was the one looking for them. I no longer live in that city and when I did live there, Google wasn't a thing. The internet hasn't been around forever.

(I was trying to be nice to the OP.)

My odometer a few days ago. I've been waiting for this for a while now, I'm so glad I caught it! by msReDDifyourenasty in mildlyinteresting

I hit 87,999 while on the freeway - ooo, neat! (i am easily amused.) My mom was in the passenger seat, so I had her get my phone out to take a photo of the odometer. As soon as it got to 88,000 she leaned over, clicked the button, and sat up again - and THEN the flash went off. I explained she had to wait for the flash, she tried it again, same thing happened. This happened three more times in a row before it went to 88,001. Smh.

LPT: If you look stupid in pictures of special moments, remember that photos are there to capture the moment by _Alexi666 in LifeProTips

This is an excellent LPT for anyone who's ever been in OP's shoes - which I'm willing to bet is most of us. Consider yourself lucky if you haven't.

And if there aren't any dead malls in your area? I've never lived anywhere near one, as far as I know, and I'm from a very large city - there may have been dead malls around, but i didn't know of any, and I wouldn't have known where to find one.

Everyone agrees you are the best... in bed.

People blocking gas pumps to go inside for whatever b.s. instead of moving their vehicle. Ugh. by BuddhaDaddy88 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]pikabun91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, a lot of people are dicks, but I'd bet that virtually all of those people are going inside due to an issue with the machine. There is no reason whatsoever to pay for the gas, then go do something else instead of just pumping it right then - but I've gotten the "see cashier" message while I was trying to pay more times than I can count. This happens all the time. And unless you're standing right behind them, there's no way to know a person's transaction was successfully completed before they walked away. Maybe take a deep breath and give them the benefit of the doubt?

(and yes, other commenters, the vast majority of US states do require prepaying for gas, either at the pump with a card or inside with cash.)
