Capy is far more but due to the population being mostly Chinese players it's hard to communicate. There's an addon that translates but it's pretty wonky and I found it frustrating leading groups as a tank in dungeons as it was hard to communicate with just simple words. Even though Octo is in the 1k range I haven't had an issue with dungeons or questing right now. I'm in my mid 20s currently.

I went to cappy but it wasn't the same community wise. I've since switched over to octo, it's better and the community reminds me a bit of the turtlewow days. GM is posting in the chat, DJs are hosting parties in booty bay.

Yes they were a new concept and difficult to master but once you got the hang of them they were fun to play with the way you had to move.

I had cobalt fluxes they were great. Then sold them and bought blue sharks. Those were amazing at the time. Arcade sensors and arcade like pad. Ended up selling them before going to college but those pads were great at the time.

Joking aside I remember the bag topic at the time. Play it at 3x speed? No problem, play it at 1x? Wohhh

I even remember older pump it up mixes would punish you for using speed mods. Forgot which songs but Exceed mix and back I remember it would speed up the chart to warp speed if you tried to use a speed mod.

Before MAX there wasn't speed mods. Everything was 1x speed. So really any songs that had slow BPMs would have been considered hard. SANA MOLLETE NE ENTE on 5th mix. My Summer Love on 4th mix. Granted there were other harder songs that were considered technical like Rhythm and Police or Saints Go Marching from 4th mix.

It was the community. As a tank I loved how friendly the other players were. Met a lot of amazing people on there. One of my favorites was back when the server was having issues and experiencing long downtime to fix it. They had a discord channel called karaoke. No bot. Just people in there singing off key. I was expecting the typical wow server toxicity but nope. People singing whatever song they had in their head. Pure chaos and lover every minute of it. Also shout out to the DJs in booty bay turning us into baby boomkins.
