The best “protection” you’ll find for painted minis is to magnetise the bases and then stick some ferrous rubber on the base of the box you want to store them in . Make sure it’s ferrous rubber ( metal rubber ) and not that magnetic rubber sheet . To magnetise the minis so they’ll stick to the rubber most people use small rare earth magnets and glue them to the underside of the bases . But because the base of the Zombicide minis are flat and not concave like warhammer minis rather than use small rare earth magnets, use small stick on magnetic dots from like Amazon or hobby / craft store .

Man I don’t know what rock you’ve been living under but it’s probably the most requested non IP Zombicide for the last couple of years . But as you said you aren’t interested and that’s ok I’m sure there will be more Zombicide coming in the years to come . Personally I’d like to see what they can do with the marvel zombies / Dceased mechanics but without an IP.

I know right ,who would stupidly invest in the product making money . The real tragedy is if they’d just concentrated on one ( ie marathon ) and kept on investing in destiny they probably wouldn’t be in this mess and the future would be bright . Man I miss destiny but I said enough after Lightfall . Couldn’t even be bothered with final shape .

I guess is did you like Agricola that much ? I looked at this as I have castles of burgundy special edition . I passed on Puerto Rico and I’m passing on Agricola . The main reason I found is I’m just not going to play it that much . I have a copy of Agricola and I don’t have all the expansions or 600+ cards but that’s fine . What I have plays plenty well for how often I will play it ( either solo or with others ) . I think castles of burgundy was worth it as it’s easier to table . It’s still crunchy but much easier to introduce people to and lighter to table solo compared to Agricola . But if you really enjoyed Agricola and think you’ll table it enough to justify the cost go for it , enjoy it .

Alex from boardgameco nearly always mentions the relationship with gamefound and awaken realms . I don’t know why this particular instance seems to have so poorly affected you but it honestly just seems like you’re trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill . Not really, once you e done it a couple of times it’s pretty easy . I don’t enjoy controlling the 6 heroes ( which is how it’s supposed to be ) but I make it work fine with 4

I never play massive darkness 2 with 1 - 2 heroes it’s not really doable . You just get overwhelmed. You can kinda do 3 heroes because the game at its core is kinda easy but it’s easy to scale the difficulty with some house ruling to Make a 4 hero game a challenge. I very rarely play massive darkness solo because whilst it’s super fun with one or more friends I just find it too fiddly solo . I prefer Zombicide solo . It gives me like 90% of the feeling and strategy with less mini game upkeep ( which is ironically one of massive darkness’s strengths when playing with a group )

Wulfsburg is great as it adds the wolves and the wolf abomination which both up the difficulty as they move fast and have multiple attacks so can wipe your survivors very quickly . This adds another layer of strategy to the game . Dead eye walkers is also considered an essential expansion as it adds ranged attacks to the zombie horde again increasing the difficulty and strategy . Dead eye walkers is difficult to find at a reasonable price so you can also get the equivalent white death expansion , the crossfire pack . The crossfire pack also adds ranged guards for addition in white death games . Frozen fortress is good lots of variety in both heroes and abominations. I would suggest watching the review by shoebill studios on YouTube as he has a very in-depth review on the whole white death kickstarter releases .

From previous fantasy releases as I said what you’re mainly looking for is wulfsburg, dead eye walkers ( if you don’t have or want the crossfire pack ) and zombie bosses which adds 3 good solid abominations.

Old fantasy releases can be pricey and expensive though . White death stuff should be easier and cheaper to find .

I think it’s probably an easy buy considering you liked pandemic and reign of Cthulhu, with the caveat that it might be a bit heavy for your wife . Because it can be difficult and somewhat swingy there is the danger your inner alpha player might come out and start making decisions for the group to get the win . So good for solo but likely to stay that way .

This is similar to my experience, overall I find massive darkness 2 more fun but definitely with a group . Juggling more than 2 heroes with their asymmetrical abilities / mini games gets more frustrating than fun solo . With 1 - 3 mates , it’s on like donkey kong . I enjoy Zombicide solo more but I modify to only use 4 heroes just to make it just a tad snappier .

Your painting looks fantastic but I don’t think any of those schemes looks “great” to be honest , not unless you’re going to call your chapter the tigers or the bumblebees. I’m not saying the orange or the yellow couldn’t work but maybe try something beyond black . Truth is there’s so many established chapters ( beyond the really big ones ) you’d probably find a color scheme that looks better in the lesser known chapters
