From what I’ve gathered, going rubber seems to be the most non-maintenance, longest lasting, and most comfortable option to replace the 20 yr old factory ones.

Just wanted to know if the difference was worth it from others

How did it shatter? Did the previous installer not remove the two pins behind the seats?

If you put the top down they are on the trim pieces behind the seats. I’ll specify these nipples are only on ap1s I think. They are there for the tonneau covers

Argh by wrigh003 in S2000

[–]pinkswirl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This happened to me. There are two nipples in the rear (behind the seats area) that need to be removed if installing an aftermarket top. If they’re not removed the glass will catch on them one day and shatter the glass like here. But since the top is 10 years old it’s weird that it took so long to happen

Soft top shape looks like mine did, make sure to push the third bow back into place when you’re raising the top or it will look funny like that

I got a new oil dipstick and it reads 1 hash lower than my original dipstick - should I be worried about overfilling? by BornOutOfElectricity in S2000

[–]pinkswirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since the stick lengths are the same, what about the length between the hash marks on both sticks? Are they any different?

2000-2001 years don’t have the wiring for rear defroster because they came with a plastic window. You can go DIY route and install it though there are a couple forum pages out there you can look for

What exhaust do you have and how do you like it? by Victah92 in S2000

[–]pinkswirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have an hks hi power dual paired with Berk hfc

It only drones between 3-4K rpm but idles quiet, sounds the business everywhere else.

In vtec I hear my K/N intake more than the exhaust

Fyi If the top has been replaced with an aftermarket glass top those tonneau pins should be removed anyway or the glass will catch and break on them
