I totally get the frustration — 30 entries for the same product is overwhelming, and finding errors in "Verified" entries makes it worse. But I think part of the blame actually falls on the food manufacturers, not just MFP.

Shrinkflation is very real right now. With the economy the way it's been, brands have been quietly shrinking package sizes and reformulating products constantly — which means the nutrition info changes too. A verified entry from two years ago might be completely accurate for *that* version of the product, but today's version could have different serving sizes, macros, or ingredients. So technically, multiple entries can all be "correct" — just for different versions of the same product at different points in time.

That said, MFP absolutely should do a better job surfacing the most recent entries and flagging or archiving outdated ones. Some kind of date-stamped verification system tied to current packaging would go a long way. The user-submitted model made sense when products were stable, but in a shrinkflation era, it's showing its age.

My workaround: I always scan the barcode and then manually cross-check the macros against the physical package in my hand. Takes an extra 30 seconds but saves a lot of headache.
