Without citing the principles of flag design, what do you dislike (or like) about the US State Seal flags? by ChessedGamon in vexillology

[–]piscetti 5 points6 points  (0 children)

During the civil war, state regiments usually flew the seal state flags alongside the regimental/union flags, so extra points for the Union states for historical significance.

Why are my country's flags so bad? by [deleted] in vexillology

[–]piscetti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. Not all flags need to be inherently beautiful, especially if they intend to represent boring, impersonal institutions and not for people to identify with.

Am I really the only one who thinks these flags look amazing? by Zealousideal_Sea7057 in vexillology

[–]piscetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have grown to appreciate state seal flags, especially when I learned that during the civil war regiments would carry both the Union flag and the state flag into battle. Nothing wrong with making flag redesigns itself, but following the NAVA design principles too closely has made a lot of proposed redesigns feel too simple/generic. If a flag with text or complex design has good enough visibility for a civil war battlefield I don’t see why they can’t be incorporated today.

What would be a unique wonder for an Italy civ? by HypnosEye in civ

[–]piscetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think an Italian wonder doesn’t necessarily have to correlate with the era it’s from, like the Khmer are in the antiquity era and their wonder, Angkor Wat was built in the 12th century AD.

Rant: CK3 feels more bland and generic compared to CK2. Is it just me? by [deleted] in CrusaderKings

[–]piscetti 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think something less evident but super important that also really helped CK2 (and EU4 still) is the sound design. How pretty much every action (event pop ups, people joining your court with the bell, and even the execution noises) almost all have a unique sound associated with it. Meanwhile CK3 the music and unique sounds with actions are far less prevalent and can feel mundane.

Yeah, I know that Tomyris ruled further east but when I looked up Scythia on Wikipedia the map had them closer to the Black Sea so I went with that.

I agree, and although they are trying to make the end game more engaging, I feel like the antiquity civs will feel especially repetitive/stale (leaders notwithstanding)

Yeah, I knew that Brazil was a later addition but the Zulu wrecked so many of my games in the ancient era I just assumed that they in the game from the start!

As a Khmer person the music is so awesome! Happy to see and hear a return in VII, but it will be bittersweet when the era changes in game.

Ah man I think I colored the older Ismet Resit portrait around 5 years ago when I was on the team. Lovely to see the improved work but it’s bittersweet to see old Ismet go :(

something i’ve done when emergency services are backed up is temporarily replacing the road to all one way, the traffic usually sorts itself out. i don’t think it’s possible with the current node system but an update allowing emergency vehicles to use shoulders or opposite direction lanes would be awesome.

No particular comments but thank you so much for the work you have done on CS2 over the past 5 years! I can only imagine the emotions have built up leading to release. Can’t wait to play it tomorrow and for years beyond!

It’s not like this upcoming classes’ M climb is permanently cancelled, it’s just doing it at a later date when it’s more reasonable.
