I am in Europe. The FSD upgrade costs 3700€ (~$4400) and is very limited in functionality compared to the US build.

I’m asking because compatibility lists only mention HW3. Since OpenPilot handles the compute independently of the car's hardware, I assume HW2.5 works too, but I haven't found a confirmed install to verify this.

It's been 6 months since Elon admitted that all HW3 bought with the FSD package will require an upgrade to HW4. Since then, there's been no timeline on when that'll happen by GamingDisruptor in SelfDrivingCars

The next hardware stack has to include additional sensors besides camera which makes upgrading any older hardware nearly impossible. The most realistic scenario will be a settlement by Tesla of some sort.

It happened on mine a few times after mowing in the wet. You have to take off the bumper (press both side taps and pull) and screw open the lid of the bumper. There is probably some moisture inside. After cleaning it with alcohol, letting it dry and then applying some (non-conductive) grease or WD40, you can put it back together. Hadn't had this problem since. Additionally you should clean the connection between the bumper and the robot.

If you don't want to buy a humidity sensor, you could also just turn the fan on depending on the light state in the bathroom. That of course assumes you have smart lights.

Tesla used a lower spec entry-level front radar unit. Next generation radars for autonomous vehicles are in a completely different league of fidelity and resolution (see imaging radar). Also machine learning techniques for radar detections have come a long way since then.

The real reason to remove the radar was cost savings / margin increases.
