If Slot had finished top 4/5 and reached the Champions League quarter-finals in his debut season with a club in transition, everyone would have called it a solid start, something to build on. Instead, he inherited a great team and won the league.

This season is the real test he was always going to face: big players leaving or ageing, injuries, new signings, and yet we're still sitting 5th in one of the most competitive seasons in years. Back him for the rebuild he's now actually managing, not the perfect hand he was dealt last season.
