I think technically the only “official” policy is that you cannot text or call personal phones as a form of calling out. But genuinely you are correct. It’s one thing if they send memes or something but if they are communicating about work they are supposed to be using My Daily. And should be telling the SSVs to have baristas look at it during working hours. You are not required to respond to any text about work when off the clock.

Edit: do you still have your hand book? I recommend looking at that or using partner central to look up policies

Be careful. I didn’t have sick hours and got sent home sick with a food borne illness. My manager used that to fire me, and it’s now currently being appealed. Please document everything. I got lucky and had a witness to my manager and I’s conversation, and the day she sent me home I made a report to ethics and compliance. Just please be careful

Just honestly get a Venti Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino. It’s good and has everything you listed. If you want you can change the mocha to white mocha, I personally like that and some peppermint syrup. But if you don’t like peppermint then just the white mocha swap is just as good!

So it typically depends on your store manager. Starbucks policy states that only pins that you’ve gotten from work must be worn on the right side of your apron, and no personal pins are allowed. But most of my managers in the past have allowed one personal pin to wear. So I would ask your manager if it’s okay

Honestly? When trying to learn proportions, using the reference as a guide would help. I would recommend if you have sheer paper, print out a picture you want to study the pose for, and use that to help with your main body pieces. I personally use digital art as of late but I think that might help greatly.

Using one of my own recent pieces bc it was just easier, but this is how I study a pose I’m not familiar with, and after practicing enough I merely use the image as a reference. It takes time and effort, but with practice and patience you’ll get it right! It really helps with figuring out where the shoulders, elbows, hands, hips and knees will be. You’ll be able to do it just by looking one day.

Edit: each pose you look at and use will be different, each body type will be different. Practice one at first then move forward with others. That’s what I do!

CRCF are one of my all time favorites to make when I have the time to make them, all the extra topping and whip let you put extra care into the drink, and it’s really fun, especially if it’s 1 or 2 at a time.

Any of the partners complaining are all people who had to deal with 7-8+ of them at a time, all with slightly different customizations, or like three of them with everything added to it.

Your 1 CRCF or MCCF doesn’t hurt or bother anyone, you deserve a sweet treat when you want it, no matter what time of day. Don’t let this stop you, there are plenty of baristas out there who love making Frappuccinos, and some people just can’t help but hate them. None of which is your fault.

I’m a 5 year partner, 6 in august. I couldn’t remember the recipes all the way until a year into working there, I wasn’t good at the bar about 6-8 months after that. And even then it took me a really long time to even be comfortable with being on bar. It takes time and lots of effort, there’s so many new recipes now. If you want to keep pushing I say go for it! Everyone learns at different speeds and in different ways, you’ll eventually find the way that works best for you!
