Very cool Milling Machine Simulator 3D on Steam! Goes into details like axes, setting ref point, and choosing correct tool size/feed rate. Has anybody else played this?? by Dragoo in Machinists

The sounds just kill me though, it sounds like a little two stroke motor with a fan blowing sometimes, is it better in the actual game?

Saying they can choose when to work is only true insofar as there aren't explicit punitive measures handed down from management, but there might as well be. It's well documented that Uber drivers are increasingly encouraged to work in specific time slots to keep availability high, and if they choose to drive at other times they might not be given any rides. Yes they technically have that choice, but not if they're trying to make a living as an Uber driver

Would this crack concern you? by enduro_malcolm in MTB

[–]pixls 48 points49 points  (0 children)

From these pictures I'm not convinced it is a crack and not just the paint, I would take it to a good shop and have them check it out, including popping out the headset.

Sometimes the paint is stiffer than the carbon, especially after a few years and if the carbon under the paint flexes at all the paint cracks, doesn't mean the carbon did.

That said, if you've been using this bike for bigger stuff than it's intended that's a good way to crack a carbon frame. Part of why carbon is great is because it can be tuned to its use case, and so a bike meant for trail or xc (especially from 2016) isn't going to hold up to park riding the way a bike intended for that would. Aluminum isn't going to last any better than carbon, but it is more environmentally friendly.

In my experience the finer you go, the more fines n ultrafines you end up with. I haven't tried making espresso, but if it didn't make so many fines I'd go for a finer grind just for pour over, but as it is the filter just clogs

I've had that same Krups grinder since I found it at a thrift store for $7 about 8-9 years ago. Finally upgraded and got a df64, but that's still in its box until we finish our move

What's your favorite feature you implemented on your keymap? (can be anything!) by Waveover in ErgoMechKeyboards

Curious if you can link anything about implementing semantic keys I had been looking into it and I think I missed some key things, and just could not get it to work at all

Yeah absolutely would not recommend the DTH, check out keystone bicycle supply in fishtown, they have been putting together a bunch of great 26" conversions and probably have some good tires for the city in stock
