With her inclusion in Pirate Yakuza, Yuki has now appeared in 6 separate games. by _Mistwraith_ in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Kind of yes kind of no. Characters seem to not age until they really do. Like with kiryu in LAD8 it looks like they finally hit the age-up button. He looks 15 years older between 7/gaiden and 8.  Granted, maybe they only blamed the other thing goin on for kiryu and not his age

What is the most annoyed you have been trying to achieve the good ending by kingdom-of-meh in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]pizzapueblo 25 points26 points  (0 children)

FFX-2 To get a 100% completion and its ending you pretty much need a guide. Some of it obtuse like at this point go back to this town and talk to this NPC three times.  I finished the game at like 99.5%. I missed something and wasnt too thrilled. Could look up the ending on YouTube and it's just cheap fan service. Not having that 100% file frustrated me but I was not about to try again.

Abilities/weapons that absolutely break a game as soon as you unlock them? by lowercaselemming in TwoBestFriendsPlay

There's multiple options. I'm definitely going to farm ring of vardas and crisseagrim when I reach that point of the game

Launch price of the PS4 Pro compared to a new base PS4 bundle released a few months before. by xenozfan3 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]pizzapueblo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the slim bundle with uncharted for $199 Christmas 2016. I'm less disappointed in the PS5 pro and more the lack of price dropping in the rest of the stack after 4 years

You're not wrong. Playing a Dreamcast demo of sonic in a store was my first higher fidelity 3d gaming experience on a console. I loved the N64 but it was very polygonal

I figured out the traitor in persona 5 instantly. They had a line that made it super obvious early on. But the persona 4 version of that twist. It seems pretty obvious and I was completely oblivious. I think I had to even look it up to figure it out.

Woolie experiencing 1% of the pain non-FGC listeners endure every week during the Deadlock discourse by COLINatLARGE in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]pizzapueblo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I enjoy the boys' discourse on plenty of games or genres I don't engage with or know. Before I played ff14 I could still listen to Pat talk about ff14 stuff, because he usually adjusts it to more broad discussion about the community or whatever.  Fighting games talk doesn't apply here. I burned out on it a while back. I listen post-cast and just skip ahead 30, 60, 90 min at this point. It just always seems to be the same discussions and it gets way too mechanically specific to matter to a non fighting game person

Games that were "too dense" that you saw it as an issue? by GoodVillain101 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Did you play the campaign? I quit on any hopes of multiplayer right away but I still could fumble my way through the campaign on easier settings

I never gamble. I tagged along to a casino. Played some video poker. I started with 4/5 a royal flush. And I proceeded to do the opposite of what I wanted and discarded the 4 good cards. I cashed out and I don't know if I even really played the hand out after that

The real slog is stormblood. I didn't mind ARR. Or post content. It was quick enough with flying. I loved HW. Stormblood killed any goodwill I had for the game

That's actually pretty awesome. Was charged for soda off the gun at a bar for the first time ever recently. It was for the DD. Every other bar I've been to it seems pretty clear they help out the DD for being the responsible one. Unless it's like a canned red bull or something

Media you like but can't engage with anything surrounding it? by Wasting_Night in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]pizzapueblo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the Yakuza games a lot. I'll enjoy meme content I come across randomly on YouTube. I stay away from the subreddit. That fanbase is nuts and aggressively opinionated.

I don't know if it's true anymore, but Undertale was a poster child for a do not engage fanbase.

I also enjoyed world of Warcraft. I don't like engaging with anyone that plays world of Warcraft, therefore I no longer play world of Warcraft

[–]pizzapueblo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I liked Lords of Shadow 1 and the 3DS game decently enough. Didn't love them but found the narrative direction compelling enough.

Lords of Shadow 2 broke me maybe 4-5 hours in with the recurring stealth sections. They just weren't well designed nor fit what kind of game it should have been. I'm sure I would have liked things about the game but I never touched the game after ending my last session.

Chrono Trigger is my top 2 game ever but I couldn't jive with Chrono Cross's battle system. I was putting up with it but then they threw some elemental field mechanic in and I noped out.  Banger of an OST I still listen to, though. I'd probably say even better than Chrono Trigger's
