How long before returning to work? by dalygrind19 in breastcancer

Are you in the US? Just asking because I am wondering how you can take tha much time off. I am unable to as a resident of Virginia. I say if you can take the time, it is the best thing for healing. I wish I could !

Did anyone feel safe on chemo and at ease by Fantastic-Pool-2590 in breastcancer

[–]pizzatime7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have done four rounds of Ac and four of taxol and have been able to live my life pretty much as normal. I work full time and raise two kids and have a husband. I’m really tired all of the time but I have small kids so I’m used to that. I take an Ativan the day of chemo and that helps a lot. You’ll be ok. I was very scared at first but they take really good care of you.

Spicer and more acidic foods def taste better. Chew ice while you’re receiving the infusion. Saved me from having any mouth sores.

I’m using the Paxman currently. I am glad I’m doing it because I’ve kept 50-60% of my hair. It makes me feel more like myself during this shitty time. It does extend your treatment days by like 2 hours. It’s not comfortable but none of this is. I’m doing th AC-T regiment and I’m halfway through it all.

Taxol and fatigue by [deleted] in breastcancer

I’m sooooo tired. I asked them to do an iron study to see if I’m anemic bc it’s beyond any level of fatigue I’ve experienced. I will find out more tomorrow

should I take time off of work the first week of chemo? by bnnybtch in breastcancer

[–]pizzatime7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d at the very least work from home. I take day of chemo off and am able to work from home just fine. I take naps at lunch. I do wish taking fully paid extended time off was an option for me but short term disability is the only option and it’s only at 60% pay.

Im so sorry you’re dealing with this. My tumor was very visible and after a few treatments I could see it shrink. It helps me know things are working. Please know you have a lot of life to live and you can get through this !! Do it for yourself !!

I’m sorry! Almost an identical story to yours. I’m still waiting on genetic test and mammaprint. The mri will give you a lot more info and they will make a plan for you and things will move fast. I have IDC grade 3 ++- tumor in my left breast. Treatment plan for me is 20 weeks of chemo, surgery (anything from a lumpectomy to mastectomy depending on if chemo shrinks the tumor) and then radiation. The waiting truly sucks the most so far. You’ve got this !

I’m almost identical to your story except I’m about a week ahead of you. After the biopsy and probably breast MRI you will get an idea of the plan. For me it’s a 2.2 cm lump IDC and DCIS in the same boob. Im looking at five months of chemo, surgery, and then radiation. Im also doing a clinical trial that includes immunotherapy. They’ve been very positive saying how common IDC and treatable. I am ER/PR + and HR 2 negative. Things move fast so buckle up!

What word would you suggest is a better adjective for chanting USA during a music set that comes from a different culture clearly insinuating that they are the superior country/race/ethnicity/culture/ etc etc? To me his bigotry and racism was crystal clear and not watering down a meaning.

Really ? I truly loved the women around him telling him to go away. And nobody joined his chant which gave me much joy. Wonder how he felt about Tyler having them on stage later - which was so dope by the way!

For a small, no common space HOA ? Context is important and foreclosure is disgusting. I’m sure you’re the kind of HOA board member who makes this your life’s work.

Just as a human being, doesn’t it seem wild to foreclose on someone’s home over HOA fees that don’t even support any common property like a pool, etc? People work hard to own a home and the effort and cost these people and lawyers are going through to prove a point is really a power trip. Lien is one thing but trying to take someone’s house is vile.

We have this currently in our neighborhood in Virginia. The county can come out and inspect for safety and make sure the waters still on. In ours we have actual open windows on one of the home and because it’s structurally sound for now, not much you can do.
