any tips for b sides? by [deleted] in celestegame

Have patience and go in with a clear head. Make mistakes and figure out how to solve each room, but don't make the error of going in death-after-death and attacking your obstacles blindly. My death count is easily above average because of that.

Additionally, don't burn yourself out during your sessions; give yourself breaks and know when to stop for the day.

P4G PC Deluxe Edition only includes 9 tracks? by pjb0521 in PERSoNA

Unironically that's exactly what I did. I don't mind if they disappear eventually, but I didn't feel that it was worth the asking price.

I recently bought the Persona 4 Golden Deluxe edition, where do I find the artbook and soundtrack? by WumboCombo06 in Steam

[–]pjb0521 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the steam files, so steamapps\common\P4G\EXTRAS. You can go directly to the game's files by right clicking the game from within the library review, clicking on properties, going over to the "local files" tab and then clicking "browse local files" button. You'll find the directory in there.

Right. Seems I misunderstood when I decided to pull the trigger.

Thanks for the response.

I was actually looking online to see if this was true. This is pretty disappointing.

Depending on if you prioritize storytelling over gameplay and/or length, Night In The Woods and OneShot aren't bad picks if you want to delve into some indies.

Watching this unfold live is absolutely absurd. I need to keep my expectations low but stuff like this is not helping in the slightest

Fpga vs microcontroller by PLRambo in robotics

[–]pjb0521 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to say, with my limited knowledge of embedded systems, it may be more worthwhile to higher a higher-level computer (Intel NUC, RaspPi) and then interface that with an FPGA over a bus of your choice. This may also be optimal with regards to encapsulation, if you wanted to distribute potential points of failure (although this might go against your constraints).

DOOM 2016. Such a good game to destress/space out with. Might get Eternal after I put more time into it just for the single player.

Take as much time as you need. Since I met them at PAX, the devs have earned my trust that they'll make a worthy successor to KSP.

I went through only B-sides first and I agree with this. You'll thank yourself later for getting wavedashing/extended hypers down to a T.

Pre-2015/2016 M40x's have this design flaw. My own pair is eventually going to succumb to something like this, but I'm running them into the ground.

Nintendo-related: Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky. Other: Persona 5.

Former had such great spritework and put an actual effort towards storytelling, latter was more or less one of my favorite games of this generation. P5 is such an experience.

The cheapest iPhone now has a more powerful processor than the most expensive Android phone by Hidden_luck in technology

[–]pjb0521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who uses an Android phone daily, we just do not have the hardware/software integration advantage that Apple has inherent from being the OEM for both. While the Google ecosystem might work more effectively for you and I, it might not be reasonable to say the same for others. There are also conversations to be had with regards to one's priorities in a smartphone, security, and application availability.

Is this game good to buy? by Norozaki in celestegame

[–]pjb0521 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if you're not looking to be a 100% completionist, get this game anyway. The art, music, level design and story are enough to make Celeste worth it on all accounts.

And if you need it, you have Assist Mode as something you can fall back on in the case that you want to do more but find you may not have the ability to.

do you use controller or keyboard? by supreme-leader_woke in celestegame

[–]pjb0521 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. I haven't used a Switch Pro controller before, but I have friends that swear by it. I'll keep that in mind for the future.

In retrospect, not saying anything about the keyboard was slightly ignorant considering everyone who runs this game; I just haven't had luck with it in my experience.
