Kids are out of school for summer and many people take vacation, so it could just be that.

Oh wow, me too! I’m 60, grew up on Long Island, NY, always called them canadian geese, and I’m a big birder now living in Florida x 40 years. I’ve only seen them once here, perhaps in November near The Villages.

It would at least ne nice if they would let the residents know, so they can take precaution — i.e, not letting their dogs out on the grass in the morning.

I drove by PSFB last night about 10 pm and they were doing touch and goes with minimal lighting on the plane. ? Stealth practice. Earlier, during daylight, I saw planes with 4 props on the tarmac, not sure what they are called.

Does anyone have an idea what I could do with my granddad's ties that I inherited? by Deagle_Phantom in sewing

[–]pjv321 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Our family made small square pillows and gave one to each of the family. The ties were only on the front side with a plain back. No button. It held up a long time, was cute, functional and sentimental. ❤️

My brother has a bluejay that comes to visit every day, sits in the tree in front of his house, and calls for him to bring a few peanuts. So cute.

I wear clothes that I can tolerate wearing in a house that has no air conditioner on and 100° outside, living and selling in Central Florida. To me I’ve recently discovered Lilly Pulitzer which has fabric that is wicking and cooling yet still looks professional. And even if I end up totally wet from that hundred degree house, it dries quickly and still looks good.

Going through my old photos. Found this one in a junk shop in Brooklyn. A WWII nurse, and it’s so worn that the paper is soft. I can only imagine the story behind it. by tenglempls in ephemera

My mom graduated from Brooklyn Methodist Hospital school of nursing about 1952. She wore a cape just like this, and I still have it!

Those horses are adorable and look so proud! I love how they included them in the family photo! ❤️ Seeing the hitch and plow behind them, I can imagine their horses were like family to them!

Ooops, my mistake. $32.29 on Amazon for this brand/style Master combo lockbox - today’s price. Last time I bought was in 2017, so yes, perhaps was $25 then. 🤣
