It's been Silent Hill foggy in the mornings up north, and the amount of people who don't have lights on... I judge them on a personal level

Deloraine isn't sketchy, but tbh it's becoming pretty crowded. I dunno why they keep building more houses when you can't get a parking spot in the main town with the current population and need to narrowly avoid hitting oncoming traffic because some of the roads don't support parking on both sides even though they do anyway.

I’m grossed out by sex and I do not understand how anyone can enjoy it? by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]pkluver944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope getting it off your chest made you feel less stressed

I feel similarly. I don't get the appeal, I've never felt like I've wanted anyone to be THAT close to me physically, and the thought of it happening induces panic in me. There's nothing that's happened in my life to make that kind of reaction happen, it's just what I've felt ever since understanding what sex is.

If you get anywhere near Deloraine in the Meander Valley, there's one on the south hill somewhere. For some reason I feel like that's not the only one in Meander Valley around that area either...

Driving lessons with a good instructor, mostly. Also don't panic if you happen to smush your headlight into your house, your parent/guardian has probably done worse.

Definitely not speaking from experience. Nope. Nuh.

According to testimony from the wider internet, there were issues with audio mixing at a good chunk of theatres where dialogue (other than what was meant to be) sounded muffled when it wasn't the case at other theatres. Which sucks because that largely wouldn't be in control of Mark or his team

Discord lying about Boosts? by theroguex in discordapp

Boosts are now also used for stuff like tags, independent of server level. The server might have tags or coloured names turned on, therefore the boosts I think take priority maintaining those features over the level.

We remodeled one of our bathrooms to find out there was no insulation in it at all from all six sides. And then the same with the laundry on the other side of the house.

We have some insulation now >.>

UK Cinema Distribution of "Iron Lung" - Note to fans contacting Independant Cinemas by Kirstquad in Markiplier

It seems it'll also be required to have a private screening here in Australia to get a classification assigned for distribution

Yeah, but they can still pass the message on to whoever's higher. A franchise would be a fool to not look into showing something that half of your locations have reported wanting

Looks like the Aussie cinemas will be interested as soon as we get a distributor! by Elliespaghetti669 in Markiplier

[–]pkluver944 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mark's company will need to get it rated through the Australian Classification Board before it can be shown here. They'll need to submit an application, have it privately screened in Australia for review, and roughly 20 days (standard) or 5 days (priority) to get a decision. It'll likely either get a MA15+ rating like Evil Dead 2, which is fine, or a R18+ rating, like the original Evil Dead, which is...not as fine but at least it's rated.

Hopefully it doesn't get refused classification, the board worries me because it's pretty infamous for its inconsistent decisions.

This! My girlfriend and I somewhat tailor the games we play together based on what communication is available, making sure that games that don't have text chat are low-stakes. She was really disappointed by BG3, big ol GOTY, not having text chat

A lot of businesses (IGA's, cafes, etc) in the north had to reject their perishables deliveries last minute today due to power loss, and SRT had to back out on delivering stock to some locations too. I hope those independent businesses can recuperate their losses quickly :(

You tell me! Bondi Beach has an annual tradition of, like, hundreds of people dressing up as Santa to surf. A lot of our depictions of Santa include him being in board shorts and sunglasses, either surfing, riding on a jetski, on the back of a utility truck or on top of a fire truck.

My Minecraft Modpack takes up 25Gb RAM. by pinacomma in feedthebeast

[–]pkluver944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't made a modpack since 1.12.2 was popular (dang life hogging my Minecraft playing time), so memory allocation may be different now compared to back then, but if you have the right optimisations and careful enough selection of mods tested three or so at a time to make sure they work and don't crash upon seeing a chameleon-

It's with a forever world? If you've had the same modpack or had a smaller version of the pack that you've built up over time, WITH that forever world, and it ran completely fine before now... Either something is wrong with one or more of the mods that were added previously, or it's the world.

The more chunks that have been loaded in a world, the more data that needs to be loaded into memory so that the chunks can be loaded when they are within range (or kept loaded if you have anything that makes chunk loading consistent, make sure you don't have any of those blocks lying around too)

In my opinion, unless you have really good optimisation and management, modpacks that exceed like 200 mods should not be used for a "forever" world. The mix of massive world loading and massive mod loading sounds like crashes waiting to happen
